Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Is anyone else trying to put on of these tanks on a coil sprung swb? I just got my frame back from sandblasting & paint (didn't have my frame here when i ordered the tank) and the tank won't fit... The 2nd to last crossmember that runs across at an angle that holds the track bar mount is in the way - I measured from it to the last crossmember on the frame on one side its 17", and on the other its 18". I have pictures, but my wife has my usb cable to connect my camera to the computer, and of course she's not here. Looking back, I see the pics on this thread are leaf sprung trucks. Thats what I get for not measuring my own junk before ordering. I REALLY don't want to cut on my freshly painted frame, I don't know what my options are at this point. I will post pics later this evening to show you guys what I'm talking about.
