what ceramic headers for a 4/6 drop?

Ok ok i know this has been discussed before at least once but i cant find anything for our trucks and since there is no way to filter it on this forum to only search from 73-87 i keep getting info for 67-72. ive heard that chevelle mid length headers work with some members using these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-86118/ but ive also heard that you can use 88-95 chevy truck headers as well like these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BI...n/?prefilter=1 im getting all my ducks in order for my 4/6 drop soon after my vintage air set up arrives and is installed just trying to get the headers as well so i can install everything at once. Any input with some pics to help would work great trying to get the exhaust as close to being inside the frame rails as possible.

Re: what ceramic headers for a 4/6 drop?

you can run regular long tubes I'm lower than a 4-6 and I have hooker long tubes with no trouble the trans brace does have problems though on speed bumps and uneven road surfaces

idk how the roads are where your at but they are terrible in Tucson plus speed bumps and other road conditions would scrape my collectors right away thats why im looking for the mid length ceramic headers to replace my longtube hookers.

Re: what ceramic headers for a 4/6 drop?

Has anyone used the KMJ Performance mid length chrome headers? They are selling on Ebay for $ 109.99 (+ $ 20 shipping). I am looking at them for a alternate since i can't seem to find any shorties that will work with my Muncie M20

A friend of mine has that set on his obs truck, I cant speak on how well they will fit ours but I can say they are built well with solid flanges. Hes had them on his truck for about a year or so and has no leaks.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=248222 ive looked at this thread before but im not sure our frames are the same as the 67-72 trucks to use the chevelle headers otherwise i might have to buy some ebay ceramic coated joints to work for now...
