Has anyone used one for a swap? Theres a pretty good deal on a trailblazer ss engine with 4l70e trans.

It has a different intake manifold, exhaust manifold, accessory mounting and also has a belt driven fan. The accessories I was told mount like the chevy trucks. Oh ya also the oil is different.

Anyone have any experience with this engine in a c10?

I'm just worried that i might run into problems not having a vette, gto or camaro engine.

iirc i think the ss trailblazers had ls2s in them.

Yes it is an LS2, but the intake, exhaust manifolds, accessories and oil pan are all different, just wondering if I will run into a lot of problems using this engine vs a vette, camaro or gto engine?

for the oil pan I would use this http://www.jegs.com/i/GM-Performance...ductId=1221210 it comes with every thing you need for the swap. The exhaust manifolds will work well

Thanks Flaming. What about intake with hood clearance? Issues with accessories being in different order?

Agreed. The TB SS engine will work just fine. Maybe just have to swap oil pan. i believe those have the high mount a/c compressor so no frame clearance issues either. Wish I had a TB SS LS2 instead of my 6.0 LS out of a 01 truck.

I have a build thread on here with one, mine was out of a awd so I have to change the trans and had to swap the oil pan, I used the one that flamingbig10 mentioned and it worked fine. All accesories are the same as the truck engines except the power steering. The trucks power steering tank is a little bit different and might have to be swapped to a truck one, I haven't got my engine mounted yet to know for sure but seems like it might be a problem. The stock manifolds will work fine. I'd just make sure it's a 2wd rather than an awd, because it requires a lot more work and money. If you have any questions just ask.

I am running a 6.0 LS2 out of a 2005 SSR which is made on the Trailblazer platform. Mine has the low mount AC compressor which I am using but it took some work. I used a late model truck oil pan and it fit fine in the truck. The Trailblazer exhaust manifolds hug the motor closer than the standard truck ones and fit great. I had to change the PS pump to a remote tank. Plenty of hood clearance. I am using the stock SSR tune with a few tweaks. I even used the cats and exhaust system all the way to the back of the cab.
