Re: z06 350

There are 2 different motors in the Z06. The C5 platform had a 347ci LS6. The C6 Platform has the 427ci LS7. If you are looking to us a C5 Z06 powerplant, you would have to do the same things as using an LS1. The LS7 comes with a dry sump oil system from the factory and would require a bit more work to make work (I would suspect). But everything else on the LS7 is plug and play (minus the intake, different port design). The headers bolt up the same.

As far as ECM's you can use most any truck or car ECM. There are a few differences like coil pack connectors and fuel injector connectors but those can be made to work. People like speartech sell adapters or you could buy the connecter and rewire it yourself. There are also stand alone systems such as the MSD/Edelbrock package, Bigstuff, Accel ect, they just tend to be a bit more pricey.

Hope that helps.
