Nice work on the tranny paint. I like that pan too. Should keep the fluid cooler than a standard pan.

My dad had it installed years ago on his Gmc but he has a ypipe that ran in front of the coolings tubes and it actually ran hotter cause of the heat from the exhaust. I won't have that problem with my dual exhaust.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Installed my Converter Lockup Wiring kit from TCI, installed my tranny pan and my Milodon Dipstick and swapped my 700r4 into the frame. Still have to drill new holes for my transmission crossmember as the 700r4 conveniently does not use any of the pre-existing tranny holes already in the frame.

I should have just left it alone and rocked the rust and patina and later on had a professional redo the body. I give big time credit to the guys that do this for a living.

Thanks
I have a feeling you might change your tune when you get over this obstacle. Nothing quite like doing it yourself. Keep up the great work man, I admire the dedication and perseverance you've shown in getting this truck perfectly the way you want it. I know you won't stop until you've done exactly that.
