Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

I would paint the bumpers black, and repaint the top black too. The white looks pretty good for temporary paint.

Looks great!

Top - Repaint it Black
Bumpers - I like the chrome sport bumpers myself - so I would put on whatever floats your boat -

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

We have enough here to spare a few!!

Not sure, but I'd guess white on white could've been. In AZ black anything get REAL HOT so a white top helped there I am sure.

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

hope that one isn't going to be sitting outside all winter. you just got it looking nice. Better sell it to me so I can keep it inside when it gets cold

Looking good. Giving me some inspiration to get moving on my project, but I really need to get the garage cleaned before winter really sets in.

How much was the paint you used on the body? I might need to get ming into something like that soon.

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

after 3 yrs.... i redid the dash back to original appearance and replaced the windshield.
I have it up locally for sale , dont want to part with it but current financial issues may require it be gone....
SUCKS.. but on a better note the interior looks good. just got to fix minor poor workmanship issue on the floor and install the OE rubber floor covering.

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

i have a decent 67-68 blue steering wheel to install since i cant find a decent 72 blue wheel, and a decent set of chrome bumpers to put on...I have been accumulating AC parts for this, and once I get brackets I should put it in.... the thing runs like a scalded dogg...

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

bought a 3M paint stripping wheel to remove the nasty Baked on Undercoating on the roof.... it appears the rear door was replaced at sometime as I found white then black the primer under the crust of undercoating....
one wheel worn out and almost half done.....
then paint it with good fiberglass paint (for a boat)

Re: Look what arrived in my driveway an AZ 72 K5

I almost bought this Blazer when it was on an Indian reservation.

Talk about a loser trip.

The guy that had it was a complete flake.

I had to walk away from it since the plan wat to drive it to Houston, to him it would make it easy.
Glad it did not break down in the driveway.

Good to see someone saved it from him.

Nice truck but I would've left on the 67-68 front clip. It would've been cheaper! Still looks good though!
