Need to drill 1/8 holes for the rivets The backing plate sits on the top of the inner brace, and the end goes tight to the door edge, and it will be exactly in the right position so no guess work positioning it. Tools needed to install inside door componants, are phillips screwdriver, needle nose pliers, hand riveter, 1/8 drill. Hope this helps any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks |

Re: Pre-Order Sale: 1967-1972 Chevy Remote Power Door Lock Kit
I believe the door latches are the same on the 67-72 pickups, blazers & burbs, and GMC I don't know if the bracing inside the door is the same.
We used a pickup of ours to make this unit, so we know it fits the pickup. WE do not have a blazer in this area to try it on, to check for fit. If you would like I can send you the measurements, and you could measure yours. Thanks |

All the parts and wires are hidden inside the door, also the four rivets on each door are under the door panel. Your original black knobs will stay on. The system connects to the bottom of the rod your black knobs are on. When you use the remote your black knobs will go up when unlocked, and go down when locked. Any more question please ask. Thanks David |

NO it does not auto lock, but that is something you could do. I think the newer trucks unlock when put them in park, and locks when you take them out of park. We have tried to make our kit very easy to wire as it comes prewired, with only the + & - to hook up. Thanks |

The wires are ran Thur the door jam, just like for power windows, or door speakers etc. To the best of my knowledge no one else has a kit made just for the 67 to 72 Chevy trucks. All others are universal if you read the description. Most universal 50.00 kits don't have wireless remotes. The 59 to 69.00 universal kits do have remotes If you look at the pictures of universal kits, they have 2 straps with holes in, there is no way you can use these to mount the solenoids in a 67 to 72 chevy truck. Also these kits are not pre wired. Our kits come pre wired except for the + & - No guessing where the wires go. Our plated solenoids are made to line up exactly, by placing them on the window channel brace going to the inner door panel, and the outside door edge. Hope I have answered your questions, if you have any more please feel free to ask. Thanks David |

HI, I do not have any, but I can take one tomorrow if you would like.
What in particular would you like a picture of? Our directions will have pictures of doing the installation and how it's done. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Thanks |

Re: Pre-Order Sale: 1967-1972 Chevy Remote Power Door Lock Kit
Just wondering about window clearance since I'm running one piece windows. They practically touch the latch when rolled down.

There is quite a bit of room between the window channel and the solenoid, as the solenoid is to the rear, and to inner side of the door. It does not come close to the glass when rolled down. Thanks |

Re: Pre-Order Sale: 1967-1972 Chevy Remote Power Door Lock Kit
This is very intruiging as I have this on a list of things I want to engineer for my Suburban. If I was doing it I would use oe GM solenoids, but for your price and statement of fitment, I am very willing to make exceptions on that. I do have a couple questions though. I noticed that one solenoid has two wires and the other has five. Is this system capable of unlocking one door and/or both doors like oe systems?? Can another solenoid be added for my third door?? I realize the mounting configuration for the third door is an unknown entity, but having to engineer one is much better than three. How do you recommend getting the wires to the doors?? What kind of conduit/tube is recommended for sealing the wires/holes in the pillar and door from the elelments?? How big is that remote??
I think that is all for now. Looks like a very nice setup.

Also interested in this for my suburban. My locks are a little stiff. Do you think your system will have the power to still work them?
