I just need to find a 67-79 ford 3/4 - 1 ton front axle.

That transfer case is probably an NP241. That is what is in my k2500 with that drivetrain has. Not sure though.

Looks like a pretty nice collection of parts.

Stay safe and return, we'll be prayin' for you.

Re: Project Grumble Bee

OK, now to introduce myself. I am Ricks dad and it looks like I will be taking over this project. I have built a lot of customs and muscle cars over the years, but this will be the first 4X4. I am open to any and all advice. I am planning on lifting the body off, since it is already unbolted, and having the frame blasted. The body really doesn't have as much rust as I expected. Both outer rockers are gone along with the bottom of both doors inside. I was able to find 2 doors at a swap meet a couple of weeks ago and I bought both of them for $25.00. I can easily replace the rockers, and the rocker boxes are both solid. Now for the big question. The firewall is in bad shape on this thing. It has some rust and someone butchered some holes in it to allow for the big block to fit. I have a 2 wd cab that I can cut the firewall off of. Is it the same as the 4X4? Thanks for any and all advice, and especially thanks for the prayers for my son.

Here are a few pictures of the slow progress made to this point. The first pics are of the tub sitting on jack stands on the ground.

Re: Project Grumble Bee

The first of these pics is of the badly rusted rad support that came with the truck. The second is of a front clip with a rust free rad support that I picked up for $100 at a local swap meet. The third is just some misc parts that I have aquired along the way.

Re: Project Grumble Bee

Lastly, for today anyway, is a couple of the frame as it sits. If I can get my Goldwing running tomorrow or Thursday, I would like to finish stripping the frame down and get it to the blaster in the next couple of weeks.

Ya. I let him have my 6.0 complete with the computer, wiring harness, and gas pedal. Not sure that I need the pedal, but I have read that I do and right now I have the whole truck available to me. The 454 will work just fine for me.
