Talking 72/06 GMC/Silverado

Hi, looks like its time to start a build thread for my project.

Its a 1972 gmc lwb that started life as a 2wd and was made into a 4wd.
The po did alot of body work and had a paint job on it before I got it but the paint is getting bad now. I got the truck with no engine and it had a th350/205 trans and transfercase. I droped a 350 from a 93 chevy 1ton work truck i had in it and found out that the trans was bad so i found a 400/208 that is in there now but it got put on hold for a while.

So here we are now the plan is- I got a good deal on a 2006 silverado1500 4x4
but the body is trashed so its gona be the doner. I want to use the truck as my dd so I want it as dependable as posible so realy just to put the 72 body on the 2006 chassis. I ave seen a few builds on here that are simaler but have never done this before so I am verry oppen to sugestions and coments.

Thanks for checking it out and for any imput you may have.

Chris

Cool project, have you seen fakerwade's build?? He did a hell of a job combining one of these with a late model 4x4 chassis/body.
