I would also remove the front sway bar mount and attach it directly to the frame rails.

OK, first I answered, then I read all of the posts. Thanks a bunch for defending our company, and our products, or at least giving us the benefit of the doubt. We were on the road for a few weeks traveling to Des Moines, Ridetech, then Columbus, finally Knoxville, and it's tought to stay connected sometimes. There is definately more than one way to skin a cat, and everyone is free to seek their own solutions. Thanks for giving us a try. I'm sure you'll be happy once your on the road. All in all this is a pretty small hickup.
As to the concerns about ackerman, this part of the steering/suspension geometry is determined mostly by the steering arm location on the spindle. A small amount of the geometry can be modified by shifting the inner TRE pivit point fore and aft. The real question is, Why haven't any of the beloved spindle manufacturers changed the steering arm position to make the truck turn in better?

Will try those solutions out... just got to take care of an A/C problem and some little cosmetic things and she should be ready to go.

Sorry it took so long to get back, there were other issues to the rest of my project.
Well, the good news is that it drives awesome! It drives straight and true, even through bumps and dips in the road. The turning radius is good. No more constantly making little adjustments like driving a boat.
I did go to 2inch lowering springs instead of the 3inch I had on (now 4.5/6in drop). Also put new shocks on.
The bad news... I couldn't get the CPP sway bar to work with the rack & CPP lower tubular A-Arms. I think it's going to take some custom end links, with heim joints, to make it work. A project for another day. Though it's not like it used to be, it's not bad as to lean. I have a vinyl bench seat so too much Gs and I'm having to hold on to the steering wheel to keep from sliding anyway

I started another thread to show all I've done in the upgrade. You can see pics there... Just wanted everyone to know that the R&P is great for the average guy like me. Don't see any issues.

If there is any doubt on how well this works let me be the first to say I have cornered this setup at over 100 mph drove it at over 150 mph. It is a huge improvement over stock steering.

In the video its on air springs in the front. Now its on Shockwaves all around. I run a splined sway bar and a 10 inch wheel so yes I built my own bar. Its pretty easy and not to expensive.

Is the set up you have driven at 150 and cornered at a 100 mph the wide ride with the billet rack or the stock crossmember with the retro fit rack No Limit sells?

Yes, these did start out as a Chevy 1/2 ton rack, the pass side housing is rotated, and the inner tie rod ends are custom machined. One big benefit is that seals, bushings, shafts, bearings and boots for these will be around for ever. Also, P/S hoses will be easy to fit by using the OE chevy hoses (99-08)
