I did find a complete rear end housing with trailing arms and stock springs and all the retainers and bolts for $100 bucks from a guy in Hurst. We picked it up on Sat. on our way back home. I got the housing all stripped down minus taking out the pinion on Sunday. I will try to post some pictures in the next day or two. One brake drum was completely worn through! it came off in two pieces...

OK
You planning on going over to Pate Swap Meet this year? I am going for Saturday for sure, but might try to make it Friday-Sunday if the wife lets me.. ![]()

Re: Project Old Blue, 1965 C10, Rebuild Version 2010
I'd like to. My dually isn't cooperating & it's a priority. I really need to get it up & going so I can move forward on my 64 & get the chassis back to my place.

Re: Project Old Blue, 1965 C10, Rebuild Version 2010
Figured I would give this old thread a bit of life. Finally moved the truck to my house from the storage lot last month. Did not realy do anything yet to it, but the lot needed it moved so that they could put up 2 more large RV storage covers. They where not charging me for the space, so I did not have a reason to not bring it home.
In hopes to getting back to this truck this year, I started a little dirt work at the house for a shop this weekend. ![]() First step is to get the pad done, but to do that, I need to level some of the area for the shop. Korbin's buddy Drew came over with his tractor and we started moving some dirt. It was a little wet in some areas, but we did get a good start. I did not get a pic of where we stopped yesterday, but I will when I get home today. Staked out the area of where the shop would go: ![]() ![]() Started moving dirt from the high spot to the low spot: ![]() Where the tractor is in the picture above, is what will be the drive from the front along the side of the house that will be parallel to the shop and will serve as a place to part the boat. That will also work to help drain storm water around and behind the shop. Progress will be slow, it rained again last night and is still raining off and on today. Tomorrow has a 50% chance of more rain, but the rest of the week looks good, so hopefully it can dry out and we can get back at it in about a week. For every 1/2"-3/4" of rain, I need 2-3 days of sun and wind to dry it out... ![]()
