Treasure Hunts are more limited edition cars that are mixed in with the regular line cars. The Treasure Hunt line began in 1995. For that year, the Hunt cars were limited to 10,000 of each model worldwide. In 1996 they increased it to 25,000. Hunt production numbers haven't been known for sure since then, but they've always been hard to find. In 2007 they began 2 separate Treasure Hunt lines; the regular and Super Treasure Hunts. Through 2011, both the regular and Supers shared the same casting, but the Super cars had Real Rider (rubber) tires and slightly different paint colors. All Treasure Hunt cars used to have a green bar on the package until they did away with the green bar for 2013. Now, regular Treasure Hunts are found by a small circle flame logo on the decorations on the car. It's really hard to find that flame logo. I've only knowingly come across 2 different ones. I just found a pair of Treasure Hunt Ford Fiesta rally cars the other day at Wal-Mart. The Super Treasure Hunts, like the gold Silverado pictured above, are much, much harder to find. When Treasure Hunts began, there was always at least 1 per case of 72 cars. Now, a case isn't guaranteed a Super, though multiple regular Hunts are common. Super Treasure Hunts have Real Rider tires, nicer paint, the "TH" logo and they're generally of much more desirable castings than the regular Treasure Hunts.
