upper cowl jute insulation

I bought this new one many moons ago and was going to install it in the near future. I was thinking this is an item I have only seen in one of my many parts trucks and it was falling apart. it goes up under the cowl by the wiper motor. I am assuming on higher end trucks. would it be worth tracing this out on paper before installing for a template in case a person needed another made? I have not seen these reproduced but I have also not seen many asking for them either. Rod.

Yes, you should. My '71 Cheyenne has the upper jute sound proofing material and a template would be worth sharing.

Yes, please do! I would think it would be very helpful to people doing a restore or wanting soundproofing, like me.

Cool I have never seen a vendor with these. There it is. No need for a template.

Re: upper cowl jute insulation

I was just under my dash a few minutes ago. I never realized that thing hanging in my way is the insulation! I should replace mine also.
