Put some new wheels on the Burb the other day. What do you think?

When I had my suburban shipped to me 2 months ago it didn't have wheels that fit on it. Someone slapped some 2000 Silverado wheels on it with 2 lug nuts. The center bore was way too small and the vehicle could not be driven. I got a set of Brand new escalade take off wheels and tires and had the center bore enlarged to 3.5 inches. I then had to install a 2 inch rear adapter so they wouldn't rub on the inside of the rear wheel well. This worked so I could at least drive the truck and iron out all of the problems it had. It hadn't been on the road since 1990.

The escalade wheels looked very clean but way too boring for me. I got a set of 24 inch wheels for next to nothing from a buddy and put them on. These are not the wheels I really want but I think they look way better than the escalade wheels. They are a little large but surprisingly do not rub anywhere.

How do you guys think it looks.
Like I said they are not my favorite wheels. I would like to do a 5 lug conversion and get some 20 inch torque thrust polished wheels with a deep dish and a fat rear tire. So don't worry about hurting my feelings.

Sorry, man, but those 24's remind me of those vintage baby buggy wheels.

They definitely look much better. I was looking at the first couple pics thinking why in the world would he put Corolla wheels on it...then I scrolled down to the nice new ones. wheels are very personal. If you like them, they're great. Big improvement IMO.

I think it would look better with a slightly smaller tire to get the o.d. of the wheel and tire package back a little closer to stock. But it sounds like the price was right!

Like he said- can't beat the price, but I think you're on the right track going to a 20". The 24s are just too big.
Nice 'burb BTW

Thanks! I agree. 24's are too big. But I like the chrome with a dished lip a lot better than the silver flat faced escalade wheels. Already have received way more than the normal thumbs up going down the road. Can't wait for disk brakes, different wheels, and some better suspension. This burb hits bumps hard, even with the other wheels.

improvement for sure...now you need to adjust the stance just a bit to sit it down on them right. Just a few inches would do. Sick Burb

Thanks, Lowering the stance is defiantly going to happen in the future. I took a look at your suburban in your signature. That thing is beautiful.
