Can you explain to me what a magnum intake is? What it came off of and so on. Pretty cool intake.

Pretty cool intake.,A magnum intake has the larger ports and used the large base two barrel whereas the non-magnum had baffles and a small base two barrel. Magnum intakes would have been on Magnum engines...351M, 401, 478 and others.

so,let me see if i understand, when you got the truck it already had the magnum
engine swaped in for the orginal 305 E, then you had the intake milled down for the adatper plate so a 4 bbl could be fitted.??

Nope, The engine had the original 305E swapped for a later model 305E. I bought the magnum intake off of a guy with a 351E and modified it and put it on my 305E.
