Oil Press. Line
I have a Original 6cyl truck with the oil Press. Gauge line that was on the I6 eng. **But here is my Question, can I still use the oil press line and use it on my "now installed" V8 mounting it just to the right of the Distributor? Will I have to change out the Oil Gauge to a V8 type Gauge? thanks in advance.

Oil pressure is oil pressure. It doesn't matter if it's a 6 or an 8. In fact, the only gauge I can think of that would be different is a tachometer.

There's always a chance the gauge was calibrated differently on its face, if they ran in a different acceptable pressure range, but I don't think they did. I bet they're all the same. Tachs are different motor to motor (diesel especially).

You will have to shorten the line or coil it up some. The I6 line is longer than the V-8 line. LockDoc
