👍🏾 Lookin good! Did you actually find a lift gate clean enough to go right into prep/paint with? I saw your original was pretty rusty, but don't remember seeing a good shot of the replacement.

I wish! LOL. I don't think there's a hatch or gate out there in that good of condition anymore. I had to rebuild both inside corners of the hatch, and a couple of other small patches. As for the gate, I had to re-skin most of the outside. It had been hit before I got it and had about 1/2" of body filler in it.

You're probably right about the hatches - I was thinking maybe you had the connect. Strong work on the repair though!

It's looking 🔥🔥🔥 to me! How are you feeling about the decision to paint it yourself? Any new thoughts?

Prep for paint has been a ton of work for 1 guy, but it's going good so far.
