Bench To Buckets
Can I just bolt factory buckets in my '95 bench seat Suburban? I believe the outer mounting points are the same, but are provisions made for buckets in all floor pans?

Re: Bench To Buckets
Want to do this to my crew cab. I've read that the outside brackets will bolt up, and when bolt the inners on, just need to drill holes. Don't forget some large washers or fender washers. Just a nut/bolt might pull thru if stressed too much.

Re: Bench To Buckets
So the reinforcement/threaded holes for the inner mounts is only there for bucket seat trucks. No biggie, thanks for the reply. I'll look and see if I can make a plate.
What I bought were the '94-earlier hi-back cloth seats in blue, just what I wanted. My '92 K3500 I ordered low-back vinyl because it was a work truck. That was a mistake because that vinyl was the base level crap that started coming apart in less than 20k miles. After three driver seat bottom replacements and 60k warranty was up it was either redo seats in another material or find new take outs. I did find this style seat in light beige and I really liked them. I can't wait to put them in

Re: Bench To Buckets
I did this on my old 95. You have to drill the inside holes and use fender washers on the underside. Pretty easy though. Don't forget to plug the holes in the transmission hump.

Tim I’d like to see pics when you’re done. Mike, do you have any pics of yours installed?

So you swapped those in? I bet that's a nice improvement.

Re: Bench To Buckets
Yes those will be going in , we are doing the Kilmat sound deadening and are still waiting on the headliner material to get here. We bought a 1999 Suburban to get all the item we wanted.
I will have to start a new thread on this truck. Thanks

Re: Bench To Buckets
I'm not sure the pictures will be much to look at. This is not a restoration, it's a retired base Suburban that was a Sherriff Dept K-9 search and rescue unit that I use as a work truck. The door panels are faded, dash is busted up (I will be replacing), and I have no console. But the seats are the right color and I know how comfortable they are. I also have no console at this point. I'll take pictures of the seats today.
Sounds nice. I've been wanting to buy a more economical (better mpg) vehicle to run back and forth to work. But I'm getting urges to buy a nice clean well-optioned GMT Suburban. I'd have the beauty and the beast thing going on. I'd take the present 'Burb farther in the rugged work truck direction and a nice one to enjoy on occasion in better weather.

Re: Bench To Buckets
Sorry I don't. It looks just like it came from the factory though so I don't know that pics would help.
