To make the bed floor open I wanted something easy. I have Completely over thought this before. So we did some thinking and a couple small projects to see how the front part of the door would swing and how much clearance the .75 inch wood would need. I think we got it figured out but there where a couple elevated discussions between dad and I. Haha. Now to make it happen. The placement of the pivot bolt made it impossible to use the drill press to drill it so we had to improvise. We pre drill it with I a few different size bits then finish it off with a step bit. It worked great. Then I welded it some sleeves and bolted it up.

Next step is to get some Electric actuators to open it.
