Re: Project Roxy

Thank you sir.

Just realized part of my rake problem was because I have the wrong rear cab mounts. I mistakenly bought the ones for 3/4 ton and 4x4, instead of the 1/2 ton ones. Cause the cab to slant forward. Just ordered the correct mounts this morning.

However, the mild notches have sold and the extreme notches have been ordered.

Yea, It's become a love/hate relationship with the 67-72 body style. If it sells I will go back the 88-98 body style trucks.

However, the next few months will dictate if I keep it or sell it.

Glad to hear you are keeping it, it would suck to see you sell it.

Besides paint the entire truck (I really don't want to do that), what would you guys do.

I've thought about wet sanding the truck and trying to do a patina paint job and I've thought about having the entire truck done in rubber-wrap using a semi-gloss maroon...

Not sure which way to go with dilema..

Re: Project Roxy

Bolt it all together.. Foam tape all the edges and blend all the paint together.. Then re clear the whole truck it won't be that bad.

Re: Project Roxy

It looks too good to do faux patina or a wrap. I'd bite the bullet and repaint it if the color difference is too noticeable.

I agree here too. The other option is to just try to repaint th cab to match once you have shot some test panels to match the rest of the body parts.
