Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

If it were easy everyone would do it. I took a similar route with my 53 suburban project. I bought a 01 Camaro. I have been kicking around the idea of swapping the cam. What made you choose your cam? Did TSP help with that choice? The motor (and project) look great. I like the less is more idea with hiding the wires. How do you like the BP harness? I plan on buying one from them as well.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

The LS will be nice in the wagon and looks very clean so far!

I did a cam and convertor in the 5.3 LS in my '63. Absolutely love it. Made a little more power and gave it a very nice idle. We ended up doing the same cam in my buddies '68 were doing, and my dad's '66 will get one also.

SOrry i didnt respond to this earlier.
Tsp were great helping with the cam selection. I called and told them my goals with the car and they suggested the 224r if i wanted to keep my original convertor or the 228r if i wanted to put the 3200 stall in it. I went bigger with the stall.
The BP harness is great. Its the 4th brand i have used and will continue to purchase from him.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Sounds great, what mufflers? One other question that I forgot to ask about your CAM set up. Did it require a separate tune specifically for your CAM set up?

Thanks
Marc

Pic of the Moroso part i used to add a return line to my filler neck. WOrked perfectly.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Painted up the rear end

Had to weld a tab to hold the brake line tee.

Bent up the hard lines and installed.

I got the rear end installed and brakes blead but dont have pics of it. Waiting on all the salt to clear off the roads here before i can take it out on a test drive. Hopefully getting a dyno tune soon,

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Got my new radio installed and working! Bluetooth and all. Made up that little plate out of 1/4 mdf to hold 2 small speakers in the dash, and have 2 boxes in the back with 6x9s that is covered to match the interior.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

compare the old radio on the right to the new retrosound unit on the left.
also installed a new emblem on the tail gate. I have a new one for the grill also but that involves removing the whole grill so its not happening right now
