650/15 and 670 15 I believe. I'll have to double check that one.

Dan, no problem. No limit engineering in SanBernadino, great stuff. It's not a direct bolt up deal but if you have some minor fab skills it's a breeaze. Look them up, good prices too.
My 1/4- 3/8 bender is snap-on and my 3/16 bender is from speedway motors. It has the tighest radius I could find.

Yezzi, oh ya boyeee. Should be good times.

Delmo:

Thanks for checking it out. I am using the same suspension and want to make sure that I get the stance right for the diameter of tire that I am going to use. I am not sure that I understand your tire nomenclature though.

I have half a mind to mozy down to Burbank and check it out. I was not sure about a patina truck in the past, but I really like them now and a part of me wishes that I went that way. Oh well, next one.

Re: Jackalope

Come down anytime, just give me a heads up. 818-472-7692

They are Bias ply so they use a different measurment on the tire. The fronts are 26" and the rear are 28" I think. Goto Coker tire and check out the firestones.

Thanks. I learned something today (bias ply tires). Now I can go to sleep and call it a day.

How long are you going to have that truck around?

Re: Jackalope

Love your work Delmo.
Nice to see what a professional would do with these trucks.
Specially someone that's into nostalgia and the whole classic auto culture.
It seems like builders are on top of current trends, for instance: patina, engine choices, brakes and suspension.

I'd like to go next friday, but it will be a stretch.
Gotta wire the fan, plumb the rear brakes, bleed all the brakes, get the driveshaft cut, modify the trans crossmember, wire up the overdrive, jury rig the exhaust, add all the fluids. Check for leaks and sort out the emergency brake cable, Cross my fingers.
once that's done it will be driveable.
And if it doesn't rain.........don't drive it in the rain or let it get wet

The Goodguys show is in Scottsdale while you're here, are you guys going to put Jackalope in the show?

Thanks for the info Del. I can't wait to see what your next project is? Keep the photos coming. I'm sure it applies to a lot of guys here but I am learning a ton just from studying small details of what you do. Thanks again Dan

I will elaborate, its a chevy only Goodguys Pre-Show Git Down. Food, freebies etc. All forum members are invited with or without your trucks. Good place to meet some of the guys from all over the country and few comin from over seas!

There will also be some cool trucks, basic cable celebrities (del), hot chicks (forum members wives and Yezzi's mom) and hot guys if that is your thing. Editor from Street Trucks will be there taking shots as well as Kevin Whipps who shoots for Classic Trucks and Custom Classic Trucks. Brian Stupski with PCK Studios and most of our favorite suppliers. If your not there then you can still buy the t-shirt and tell everyone you were.

Re: Jackalope

He's said to be a myth, a legend. Some say he is a ghost. If you hang around the Pavillions in Phoenix late at night sometimes you can spot the shadow of what looks like a crewcab against the wall. They say that's him. Spooky stuff.

Ya exactly, and if he says that your ride is "legit" then you know you've made it.
