Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"

Slow uploads tonight. Will probably wait a few days to upload the rest. Have a lot more picture updates and they show much more interesting progress. So stay tuned.

Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"

Still no working pictures but I will keep trying. Things are really starting to roll and I can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just have to spray the inside of the cab and she'll be ready to set back on. Firewall is done minus final paint and looks slick with those PB hood hinges. Just basically wanted to update to show my excitement on this build again.

Wow, what a build. Seeing you guys cutting and welding frames makes me feel like a tool for posting cowl screen pics.... LOL

When the kids are through school and I get a real shop out back I'll get a little more ambitious!

Looks awesome- cant wait to see it finished! (And I was in Mountain Home on my Harley in June- who knew?)

Having the space and tools makes a huge difference, I have minimal of both but make up for the rest in determination. Ha.

My town is definitely a popular spot for riders. Tons of bike events all summer long around this area.

I don't know man, its pretty damn ballsy and confident to start cutting up stuff the way you guys do. I'll get there. I'm much better at the mechanical side of it -wrenching rather than fabricating.

I remember there was a no-ethanol gas station in town. Place was always busy as heck. And "push mountain road" a few miles out of town to your west was outstanding. We did it three times (my buddy and I ride our baggers like sport bikes). Fantastic road. (and we tried to keep the noise down in town- we don't have unnecessarily loud pipes but we both have big HP motors. I hate the guys that just make noise to make noise)

That's where I always try to get fuel. Old trucks just don't like that ethanol gas. That seems to be a popular road for bikes. It's even better on a hot day when the tires really stick in the corners.

Just went through your build. I'm loving the frame, it looks sweet! I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the truck.
