Brothers has one that's in the $350 range and Autoloc has one that's around $250.
Not sure if the brothers one is worth the extra expense.
How hard do you think it would be to make your own?
Kim
I got mine from No Limit Engineering for about the same price as the brothers one. After getting it, it looks pretty easy to make your own. Look at jjjmm56 build thread he made his own.

Thanks Kabwe
I've been following his build and didn't catch that he made his own tilt hood.

nice work man.
i'll be watching out for pics on the tilt hood. seems like the stock ones will never lay flat, and the best solution would be a rear tilt. looks like it will be an awesome ride when done.

Kabwe, your ride is looking great. Many have said this and I agree, "You have MAJOR SKILLS." You are a man that loves what he does. I have slowed down due to blood pressure being high but starting to crank back up. Two questions for you: First, which shaved door kit did you use and where did you buy? Second, Do you have a pattern where you rounded your door corners that you might could upload for us to use? Thanks, your mods are awesome!!!
Keep 'em coming Master!!!!

Hey man thanks a lot of the compliments I appreciate it. As for the shaved door kit I used autoloc large bear claws kit that I bought on ebay.

On the rounded door corners I used some poster board to first trace the doors edge, then I rounded it to my liking and I used it for both doors to trace the cut out.

Heres the pic of the rounded poster board placed on the door to trace the cut out.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

I think this is my last modification to the truck's cab. I thought since I rounded the doors in the front and shaved the drip rails I mightiest well go all the way and round the rear of the doors.lol

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Looks good Kabwe.
I've got one more thing I'm going to do round corners on.
When I get my tilt done on the hood the rear corners are going to get the treatment.
I've contemplated doing the door bottoms but don't think the amount of work is justified yet.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Well I really don’t have much to post, but I haven’t posted in a while so I thought I would just share what I’ve been up to. I got some primer work done on the roof, rear of the cab and the dash.

I currently working on the interior and decided to start with the dash. I was curious how it would look in primer. After I finish the interior I will remove the cab off the frame (hopefully for the last time ) and do the under carriage and the firewall.

You always have something to post. What you dont think is important, we your loyal fans are sitting back saying I wonder what he is going to do next.
That dash is killer and what a cool brakelight.

Kabwe, It is always good to see it in primer rather than all those different shades of the metal and it also feels the same all over when you run your hand over it. Keep up the great work.

Hey I am doing pretty good, I have been doing a lot of boring work on the truck...last weekend I burned up about 500 pound of gas welding up misc small holes and missed spots...lol. I am getting the hang of the welder and still have a few things to get finished but I keep plugging at it. I am hoping that I can get it in primer and paint sometime this summer. Yours is looking great, wish I could see it in person. I will be in Cali in Sept but it will be down in Elsinore with the fuel boat. Anyway take care and keep rockin with the truck.

Bernie

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

I stayed up late last night and read your build front to back and found my self depressed that there wasn't more to read! I woke my wife up cussing as I came to the end of the posts...then I had sweet dreams

Awesome build, I'm very impressed, more like in awe really.

Hurry up and do more to your truck so I can be distracted from the lack of progress on my own jalopy.
