Re: Roadster Project

im with everyone else...baddest blazer on the board BUT....the tilt front end screams 1985 to me... i might be doing some stuff to mine that other people dont like either but in the end you have to please yourself, i have said this before if we all liked them the exact same way we would never go to car shows because they would be all the same , so whatever you like is the decision you should make

1985...LOL.
WOW, the general consensus rules. No front tilt, we're gonna do a front "hood" tilt instead. I will post some pics when we start. It's cool, this will be a lot easier anyhow.

Sheet metal filler...didnt know there was a skin for this.

Re: Roadster Project

If you could figure out a way to combine the cowl into the hood for this mod, you would remove another body line and would be a unique feature.

There's a 67-68 truck that Dean's Hot Rods or Hot Rods by Dean (not positive on the name) built that has the hood and cowl in one piece... it looks like pretty cool mod that would flow nicely with everything else.

That one looks very good too. Notice the hood ridge integrated into the cowl and the cowl smoothed into the windshield frame? And a flush mount windshield. Wow, alot of work went into that area alone.

Re: Roadster Project

Yeah, I think it's a bit too much. I do like the hood treatment though.

Under the hood...LOL, just kidding. I wasnt able to take them yet because my hoods being used as a work bench. Soon, I will have them
I will also have pics of the arm rests which are fabbed in from the back seat to the front doors. Should be super sweet. And the rear trunk lid and I want to do those head rests that look like tear drops in the rear trunk. Kinda follows the whole roadster theme...wadda ya think. ( kinda afraid to ask again)

Cheesy, nah I'm just kidding. It's your truck and your vision. Do what you want with it. You have the skills to change anything later if you decide you don't like it.

I always liked the mini roll bar thing behind the driver like the cobras had. But they don't have a back seat. Hey wait, wonder what a blazer would look like shortened some more and losing the back seat?
