Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://rockford.craigslist.org/cto/...575828773.html 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe Longbed

I bought the truck in 2017, it originated from down south. It was a highly optioned “Highlander” truck when it came from the factory. One of the previous owners was an engineer for MegaSquirt. He installed a 4.8 LS and 4l60E in it and the truck was the test mule for the MegaSquirt Ms3-Pro Engine Management System. The owner previous to me did the 3/5 drop on the truck. The rear end was pretty messed up so I got it rebuilt with a new posi unit with 3:73 gear. I went ahead and had Finish Line Transmission rebuild the 4L60E, they did the street performance upgrade and I had them also upgrade the stall to a 2000 stall speed. I put new tires on it also. The tires and rearend have less than 100 miles on them, and the trans hasn’t been installed yet. My plan was to upgrade the brakes, steering and suspension, and replace the original gas tank in the cab with a Boyds that’s installed on the frame under the bed. I bought much more new stuff for the truck, but it has sat in the garage for the last 3 or 4 years. I was going to have the cab corners and rockers installed but leave the paint alone. I’ve got a 70 RS Camaro pro touring car that I spend most of my free time driving. So, I’m putting the C10 up for sale as it sits, the engine and trans are not installed, but the steering linkage is. Can be winched up onto a trailer.

Drivetrain
4.8 LS out of a 2009 Chevy van; 59k miles; newer Camaro exhaust manifolds Jet-Hot Ceramic coated. I have a Trailblazer SS engine cover for it. Dual exhaust

4l60E trans; fresh rebuild by Finish Line Transmission, Street Performance, new 2000 stall

GM 12 bolt, new posi unit and 3:73 gears, Moser cover

Fuel and Engine management
MegaSquirt MS3-Pro engine management system
BoydWelding stainless tank with fuel pump and sending unit, under bed tank
New fuel line, Wix Filter, Russell fittings

Wheels and tires
Boss 20” rims, also have a stock set of nice GM 15x8 inch truck rims
BFG G-Force Sport Comp2 245/45/20 fronts, 275/40/20 rears, less than 100 miles

Brakes
New Wilwood booster, proportional valve, calipers, pads and steel braided flex line kit
New drilled and slotted rotors, new inline tube brake line

Suspension and Steering
All new Moog steering linkage components, CPP 7423 Front sway bar kit, POL tubular upper control arms, new Moog components for lower control arms
CPP 50014 steering box
New Belltech 4702 coil spring set, Belltech front and rear Street Performance shocks, POL front shock relocation kit

Body
Triplus cab corners, inner and outer rocker panels, new passenger inner fender

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/c...573092444.html GMC traces its roots back to when the “Grabowsky Motor Company” was established in 1900 by brothers Max and Morris. In 1911, General Motors took over and renamed it the “General Motors Truck Company.” GMC is the working man’s truck and always had just a little more commercial grade toughness built in than the average pickup. The current owner is starting to thin out his collection of vehicles, so it’s time for this one to find a new caretaker. The ‘67-’72 GMC have timeless style. Clean and clear title in Owner’s name.

With a 4 inch lift and those deep dish slotted alloy wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33’s on all four corners, this Dark Green beauty is also part beast. It’s sitting on a K5 Chevy Blazer frame with 4 wheel drive. Some nice additions include a bed mounted diamond plate steel tool box, heavy duty rear bumper with trailer hitch receiver, and a heavy duty front bumper with tow hook. The sliding rear camper window and side glass is deeply tinted and works great with the deep green paintwork. Black painted bumpers add to the toughness.

The interior is clean, comfortable and supportive with a durable patterned Gray cloth and vinyl split bench seat with side bolstered buckets and high back headrests. A flip-down center armrest has a large storage compartment. The Grant GT black leather thick grip steering wheel feels just right and the under dash gauges by Sunpro monitor your engine's vital signs. Sliding camper windows come in handy and the deep tinted glass keeps you looking and feeling cool. The custom seat has a nice factory fit and the custom Camo headliner adds a touch of class.

Time tested dependable small block Chevy power here with a 350 V8 mated to an automatic transmission. Performance upgrades include headers, aluminum intake manifold, custom valve covers and an Edelbrock tall element chrome air cleaner. An aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps it cool. Nothing fancy under the hood, just good old fashioned hot rod power with no computer controls. You’ll get plenty of low end torque, highway cruising roadability and a low cost of maintenance, plus an aftermarket filled with everything you need.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/c...570549336.html The second generation C/K series from Chevrolet was produced from ‘67-’72 and ushered in the era of the gentleman’s pickup, retaining its toughness, but adding style and luxury. The gentleman that had this built now has his sights set on a ‘55 Chevy pickup so he sold it back to the restorer who is offering it for sale today. The Chevy C10’s are about the hottest trucks on the market right now and this one is super nice. Chevy called these the “Action-Line” and they were an instant hit. Clean and clear title in Owner’s name.

Looking sharp in the iconic 2-tone color scheme so popular in 1972, Forest Green and White complement the lines of this truck beautifully. The rally wheels and raised white letter Firestone Firehawks not only look great and suit the era, but make for improved handling over the stock option and the stance is just right. Tinted glass, excellent brightwork, trailer mirrors, chrome rain guards, chrome bumpers and a blacked out grill accent the look nicely. It was a headturner right from the factory and has been returned to its former glory into this show stopping driver.

The comfortable cloth bench seat in Black with Black door panels and Green metal dash and doors complements the exterior perfectly. This was the first generation that added some luxury to your workday and marked the beginning of trucks being more than just utilitarian vehicles. Amenities include: power steering and brakes, tinted glass, and air conditioning. The gauge cluster is nicely laid out and easy to read with a center mounted tachometer in addition to the oil pressure, temperature and battery gauges that monitor your engine’s vital signs.

The original 350 V8 has been bored out to 355 cubic inches and an Edelbrock aluminum intake and headers have been added for a nice bump in horsepower over stock. With just 5k miles on it since the rebuild, it is barely broken in. Total miles on the truck are reported to be accurate at 76,659, so it has been lightly driven and well looked after. A Hurst shifter manages the 5-speed manual transmission controlling all that power quite nicely. The throaty rumble you hear through the Borla exhaust as you run through the gears is intoxicating.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...577143140.html Classic, rare, Longbed C10 Stepside pickup in great working condition. Used for utility, country rides, parades or on it's next stage to classic truck shows. Major tune-up in 2020 including, body mounts, radiator rebuild, muffler, steering column, brakes, wheel cylinders, differential, transmission service, 2 shocks, fuel lines, belts, seat belts, ignition, RVM and more. Body in great shape (slightly bent rear bumper) with only minor rust-spotting. Bed repainted in 2022 and new battery. Needs new fuel sender for gauge. Idle runs slightly high but NEVER dies. Recntly used in Davis Parade at 5 MPH for 1 hour on 95 degree day...no heat issues, no stalls.....along with 12 happy homecoming students in the bed. Trusted truck. Open book, no hidden issues. Serious inquiries only. Test rides only to vetted buyers. Thanks for understanding. Rare 1970 Chevy C10 Longbed pickup - $16,495 (Davis, CA)
