Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

Thanks Bob. I cleaned the inside of the rear fenders and painted them. They really weren't that bad. The po of the bed must have primed or sealed them good. When I took the wire brush on the drill to them I got to see the primer/sealer real good. I will try to put some undercoating on them and get them back on this weekend. Busy day tomorrow doing the inlaws yard.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

My son helped me bolt on the fenders. I also patched the square holes on the sides of the tailgate where the old hardware was. Mudded it but haven't sanded any off yet.

very slowly George. The weather isn't cooperating any. I'm ready to move further south. I also started welding the patch in on the hood but it started raining again.

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

I went to pulla part and got me another cowl panel. Mine had two small holes on both sides from dealer plaques and I thought while I was there I would see if there was one and bingo. I started the hood again. Got the patch welded up and spotted some pinholes and took care of them. Ground it all down skimmed it with filler.

Looks good. The rear looks much better like you have it now. They have anything worth picking up for our trucks at Pull A Part?

Re: Thelonerifes 72 stepper

yea, they don't have as much as they used to. There used to be a good 4-6 trucks there at a time. Now you're lucky it there's one or two.

Yeah....the same around here too....but I think with scrap prices WAY lower....not as many are finding their way to the junkyard....which is good...I think....at least they have a chance to survive if one of us see them....BUT, you gotta beat Ron to them first!!!!!!
