Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

That sucks about the wheels. I prefer the rolled lip on wheels unless they are TT2's which just look right with stepped lips.

Yup! it sure does man... Im really pissed that he did it to me while Im overseas. If the other member wouldnt have notified me of this, I wouldnt have known in time to bring up a dispute and would have been totally screwed.

You are right about that... TT2s are a timeless classic wheel so that look fits it. That might not look as good on these wheels. Definately something to think about

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

That sucks about your wheels. The first wheels I ordered and PAID FOR were from Centerline. 20/22....they said, 6-8 weeks to my house.

6 weeks goes by, I call for a update....they tell me, we have your 20's but your 22's will be built next week. 3 more weeks and youll have them. Im a little disappointed but Im still working on the truck..whatever...

3 weeks goes by, I call for another update....they tell me, we have your 22's but your 20's are being built next week.....I was like, woooooo, 3 weeks ago my 20's were done and my 22's were being built. He looks into it and says, yeah it looks like someone sold them since you were still waiting on the 22's. He informed me that they built 20s one week and 22s the next....back and forth. So it'll be another 3 weeks...now Im kinda pissed...but I still have time.

3 weeks goes by, guess what he said....YEP!! Your 20's are ready but your 22's will be built next week. I said, no they wont!! REFUND MY DAMN MONEY!!! He tried to argue for a minute, I just said refund or Ill just dispute it...regardless Im getting my money BACK!

I just couldnt believe they withdrew the funds and still jerked me around..

Now I've ordered Racelines.....much nicer wheel IMO. Val (sales) put a rush on them after I told her my last experience...they SHOULD be done Mid April and I dont get home till Mid/Late May.....so hopefully theyll be done.....but your right the next 6 weeks is gonna be the longest of my life. Well the next 9 weeks will because that's how much longer I have here in Afghani-suck!!

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

Santa came 3 months late

AND I got the chance to meet Nate Porter in person today! Kinda funny, this guy won a dropmember in a raffle and looked like he didnt know what it was at first. I looked over at him and said that Porterbuilt's stuff was great quality stuff and that I just got mine yesterday. This guy standing next to him immediately asked for my name and introduced himself... I was pretty shocked at first! Glad I could put a face to the name

Well, I tore into my engine a little bit last night! Shes kinda dirty inside, but nothin a little hot bath at the machine shop cant take care of! Need a pulley puller though to get the crank pulley off.

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

Well, unfortunately I didnt get any work done during my trip home... It was really sad, but I did manage to completely remodel my kitchen, and get engaged. I think those were pretty legit reasons to not get any work done! Still pretty depressing to not see any progress
:/

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

The progress will come, congrats on getting engaged. That is a legit reason to take a step back from the truck. I'm getting married in a month so I know how it is.

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

Everything actually worked out pretty well with my incident once I got home. I was very lucky! Im back out on the road for 4 months and I should be getting another 4 back home after that. I think that will be a good chunk of time to get some work done!

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

So, any of you fellow LS swappers ever dealt with F.A.S.T products??? Im looking into this system. Just the ease that they advertise seems perfect, plus that intake manifold. OMG!

Agreed, FAST has quality goods.
Good to see another Gen III out there. They are a thing of beauty with so much potential.
