Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

This is my first post on here. Next Friday we are picking up my truck and it is currently an hour from here. I AM SO EXCITED! I lucked into a 1985 Silverado with a 454 bored out, and from what I understand the rear end has been replaced as it is a lowered truck used for drag racing on occasion. Mr. Hanna has been so loving, he bought this truck for my birthday! My birthday is not even here yet. We are a two Chevy family, and I will post his truck in the 1998 era. Mine will be a project truck with great mechanical structure. His is a 4X4 project from the next era of trucks. These are the only pics I have yet, and she has great bones!

Nice truck. What size of wheels are on there? I am having trouble selecting height and width, you seem to have it nailed.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Dagnabbit, I wish I could take credit, this is the perfect tire, I agree. I am picking up the truck next Friday. It has not been registered since 2008, and I need to have it trailered in. From what I understand the previous owner (he was laid to rest this week) loved this truck and has replaced many parts. The suspension is lowered a bit, and I will let you know the details when I pick the truck up next week. These are Cooper Cobra Radial G/T and I know the truck was raced at the amateur level.

Nice score on the 85, looks like a nice start.

I had a chance to buy it back but couldn't swing it at the time. I saw it with another new owner at Pleasanton Goodguy's car corral last year. He was asking 18,500 and I think its still in my area...
Yes, I see your in Santa Rosa...small world neighbor....what should I be looking for ?

Don't laugh the guy probably got his asking price or close to it that 77 of yours looked really sweet. I was up in Lake county a couple of months ago and this kid (late 20's) came up to me just drooling over mine kept insisting he wanted to buy my 77. I am not selling it for any price. But to shut him up I told him 30k. He was surprised but said it would take him a couple of months to get. Shocked, I told him don't bother I won't sell it.
You may have seen mine in Windsor. I spend enough time at the Pick N Pull there. Here is a photo. the sliding window came out this week a solid back glass is in it now.

RUN GMC, I'm loving the look man. I thought I was sold on putting 20" wheels on my '86 and then I see your truck. That's a tight look. What's the story with drop, tires, wheels and backspacing?

That's sweet...next time in Windsor hit me up...I live on Gumview about a mile from P&P.
There are a few in the area and I always strain my neck checking them out. Like the wheels also
