Re: Gas Prices?

No change for several months here, until yesterday when it went up a dime to $4.779 cash for 87 octane. Three cents higher at Valero..... 10 cents more for credit cards.

Note the bulk oil in the crate by the pump. One of my teenage Era cars required that at each fill-up.

That pic looks like it could have been the beta Buc-ee's. LOL!

Yesterday, regular was $ 3.28 here.

Filled up for 3.29 in Milledgeville today. It's between that and 3.39 at most stations.
I'm looking forward to some warmer weather so I can walk to class instead of driving

Re: Gas Prices?

A cheaper car will help balance the price of an old gas queen - have to say that after the disassembly of my truck, man - all those parts weigh so much. Can't think that gas mileage and old trucks go hand in hand. So...drive less, i guess. In Canada the gas is about 1.60 litre - that's like $7.25 a gallon. Hands will be shakin' when filling this old truck...

We got down to $3.05 a bit ago but now bounced right back up to $3.29 over the last week-10 days. Events on the other side of the world affects everywhere and everyone as this ol world is shrinking day by day.

Yes, a cheaper car will help balance, so that's why I usually daily my Dakota. It's my last semester at college though, and I don't have to drive much around here since I'm close to campus. I decided to daily the C10 because of that. I'll probably be pulling it off the road towards the end of the summer to start rust repairs, so yet another reason to enjoy driving it now. It's only money, I'll make more of it soon

Yep, the games people play. The same gas is being delivered to the same pumps and being consumed the same no matter what the reason for price gouging. Same supply/same demand. Profiteering speculators are not our friends. Is gas the commodity or are we?

Re: Gas Prices?

54 years ago, I was buying gas at $ 0.17 / gal in Fort Worth. Less if there was a gas war going on in town. I remember when the world was going to come to an end when gas hit $ 0.25. Then again when it hit $ 0.50 and the coming Armageddon when it hit a smooth dollar bill.

Re: Gas Prices?

Yeah, now we see about $1 a gallon difference between regular and premium! Just WOW! I guess the additives are affected by the same things crude oil is?

Yesterday I paid $358.9 (can't forget that point 9) for regular. I was lured in by the big lighted sign that said $3.48.9. On the pump said $3.58.9, so I looked back at the big lighted sign to see in small print it said "with car wash". I've been driving by this station since last week and never saw that . I was just surprised in that area gas was being offered at less money than where I bought gas the last time, up my way. I was wrong, it's the same. Then when I was about done pumping, this bonehead backs up in front of me, I guess, so he would be pointing in the direction he needed to leave. It would have been simple enough, if he can drive a car, to pull around yo one of the other two pairs of pumps that were open. What a tool

Re: Gas Prices?

Crested over 5 a gallon here over the weekend. In about 3 months we'll get into the 'summer blend' in which case there will be shortages as they convert over and the prices will jump about 50-80 cents per.

Re: Gas Prices?

With the Russian move into Ukraine I fully expect we will see price hikes right away because of it even though they say the US gets only 3% of our oil from them.
Our low priced gas pump here dropped theirs 1 cent overnight to $3.03.
