Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
Here are a few more pics taken with my camera. The paint on this thing is phenomenal. It is too bad it ended up costing WAY more than the original agreement, but I'd say you still got your money's worth.
Here is a couple pics taken to show the quality of this paint job. Note that the truck is still 'dirty' in all these pics- there was buffing compound splattered everywhere, and dust galore! This thing is so extremely LOW! I love the stance! I also don't think the black strips look bad at all. Hard to tell if they look better than polished, but the do look good. |

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
Loading it up on the trailer for the long journey home
Here I am helping strap it down. I also had to be the one to crank the truck onto the trailer with the come along. Now I know why he asked me to come with him! This was a familiar sight throughout the trip LOL! Okay, so my hummer wasn't the best on gas, but it sure towed the trailer for 9 hours without any problems. |

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
LOL
I dusted some of the compound and dust off. It is going to be staying at my house tucked away in my garage since he is working on the Hulk right now in his garage. She will be safe here away from the brutal habits of mother nature. That is my 02 T/A she will be sharing a room with. And here are some more girl pictures for you Killer |

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
The Vette is going under the knife next year some time. I already got parts waiting. It is going to be a bored/ stroked L92 (427 ci) with a T56 trans Then it will be painted black and some sidepipes, and of coarse some wheels & tires. The bike belongs to a guy here in Tulsa. Not mine I digress tho... That 68 truck has got me wanting something like that too DROOL!!!

carlos rents out half of a shop from mr.capple, he used ricks (mr.capple) guys to do all the work, with the understanding (between calos and rick) that i was paying ricks prices (to the tune of about 70$ hr)...all of this came to my knowledge when carlos gave me a date to meet him in dallas, and never showed....thats why i had rick fully take over the job....as far as talkin ****, ive told my story and i have plenty of first person witnesses, have him post his side...O wait he's banned for screwing one to many people, just on this board..no-body who worked on that truck works for carlos, you know how i know, CAUSE I DIDNT PAY HIM. in addition to that ill gladly post a email i received from him awhile ago saying he's useing ricks guys. and never did he mention the cost involved with that.... so keep on sticking up for that loser, cause you're wasting your time.... matter of fact he was'nt anywhere to be seen when i picked up the truck either, and those arnt his men working on it in the pics either.. |

If you wish to defend him, perhaps you should go review the bad deals forum first, as there is a line of folks who are not so happy. Now, with that said, this is a build thread and not the review area, so please do not hijack any further. |
