I can relate to this comment. We were fortunate enough to have both of our daily drivers slammed with hail on Sunday. Also fortunate enough NOT to have comprehensive coverage on them. Paid them off years ago and rolled the dice and lost. Biggest hail I've ever had hit and ruin property before.BTW good progress on the truck

Thanks man!
As you know I finally got this thing running tonight

for everyone else, I'll back track about a week....
I got everything in and to the point of wanting to start it. I wasn't getting the command from the computer to fire the fuel pump relay. I shot a pm to rfmaster. He is a very knowledgeable guy. He seems to know these TBI set ups forward and backwards. He sent me some info and diagrams, even the diagram for the internals of the computer. I got to checking and my ECM B fuse was dead along with my headlight switch. Did some checking and realized I had the wrong wire on my alternator, that wire was suppose to go to the power junction block on the firewall. Put it where it belongs and the fuel pump kicked in and my headlights worked!!!
I had a couple dumbass moments with my plug wires, and distributor timing..... Got those straightened out and it would run as long as I
poured gas in the throttlebody. I took the injectors and regulator apart to see if I could find a proble. There was dirt and some rust chunks. I cleaned it all out, put it back together and VROOM!!! she lit off, I'm pretty excited to finally hear it run with the TBI
I still to swap out the radiator (no heater hose connection on the old one ), add anti-freeze and button up the dash. I'm hoping to take her for a spin tomorrow....
Once again, thanks everyone for the encouragement.
I, well we (the family and I), have spent so many hours on this thing, with many discouraging moments that I was able to push through thanks to this site
I'll still have plenty of little projects to to to
it after I can drive it, with A/C at the top
of the list......
Sorry for the novel and no pics, I'll try to get some day shots of it soon!
In the mean time, here are a couple shots of some cool stuff I have seen on the road

man Mike, I'm sorry to hear that!
I was sitting in my garage hoping we didn't get any big hail, the wife's Honda has full coverage but not my old junk. Luckily it missed us.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Congrats on getting it running, Joe! I found once the big hurdles are cleared, the little stuff becomes a lot more fun, and goes quicker, too.

Sorry to hear about your cars, Mike. I had driven mine Monday, and we had some pretty big storms. I got it home, and promptly cleaned out the garage to put it in. My Dd stays outside, trying to attract hail. I don't want the cars I like to get hit, though.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

But in Kansas, you can go in the shade and it is cooler. It's just darker in the shade down here. I moved down here in June, and that was quite a revelation.

No plans for a makeup date yet. Just whenever we want to try and get together.
