Everything around here is over $5 a gallon. I sure am glad I'm not commuting 94 miles round trip to work and back, anymore.

Same here. Diesel was $3.89 at 2:15pm but the sign said $3.79, then this morning the sign said $4.29.

A truck driver was filling up yesterday while I was getting fuel. He was telling my son he spends over $500/day on fuel. Every day, and hid tanks only hold 150gal. His eyes were huge. He kept talking about that and asked how he could afford to live. I told him the cost gets passed down to us. Life lessons.

Re: Gas Prices?

It's so depressing I haven't been wanting to look at this thread. I got regular yesterday in town at the cheapest place, $3.77.9. Last night I went past another place of theirs that is in the country, always cheaper, and it was almost $4.00. I guess the place in town went up later yesterday after I bought. I get $50 at a time and it has gone from 3 days to 2 days worth lately. How much more are we expected to be able to absorb? And it's not like fuel is the only thing that surprises you every time you go to buy

Re: Gas Prices?

I’ve really been thinking I may have to buy a small economical commuter car. But then again I might have to wear a paper bag over my head when I drive.

Re: Gas Prices?

$63.50 to fill my Colorado on my way home Friday. When I first got it, you couldn't force $30 into it. The worst part is that my commute changed from the 8 miles that I used to do by bicycle, to just over 21. Most of it is highway, so at the mid 20 mpg range, it's costing me about $8 a day. 6 days a week went from free to $50.

Two years ago next month, oil was trading at negative $36 a barrel and gas was $1.75/gal here. Now over $111?
