Saw the buggie on Craigslist today, it looks killer hope you get her sold. And you DO have an excuse, it's called 104 degrees in the shade!!! Same one I've been using for weeks, no amount of shiney new parts can trump the heat!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

67cheby,
I have to tell you that its taken a while to go through your build but I am completely impressed with all the Fabrication, Engineering and Thought that has gone into this truck. It puts mine into perspective when all we did to ours is weld in new Rockers and Cab Corners and Marker lites in the bed. So do you see the End in sight any time soon?

67cheby,
Have you thought about a color for the finished product? I noticed in the build that the Tubs were kind of a baby blue color, is that what your thinking about going with?

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

you are not kidding about the heat.... its killer. I own a mobile detailing company and we are dieing out there. Today was heat index of 108..... that sucks. No energy or sweat left to work on the truck.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Man, I got to see this thing in person yesterday. I must say, Mike knows what he is doing. That thing is sick!!! The details are just amazing. I can't wait to see it together myself.
And thanks to Mike for loaning me his factory hood hinges to help me with my hood issues.
May you sell your dune buggy soon and sink the moola into that ride!!

Mike, where did you get your spacer for your carrier bearing? Mine has a little vibration when I really stomp on it, and I think raising mine a little may help.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Hey Mike, I was just thinking... dangerous, I know.... The Relaxed Atmosphere Allstar Event show is coming up in a few weeks, on Labor Day Weekend. You planning on going? I know you wont have your truck there, but lots of bagged rides and an absolute blast, and some of the best built rides (magazine quality, not hack jobs) always show up. I'm taking the 67, just wanted to see if you were planning on going.
