The lower hoses (heater hoses) will go in first, one at a time. The other two there is just enough room to get an open end wrech in to tighten the fittings.

And yes it will drive this low! I think next time you and I go to the goodguys show we need to just drive around like everyone else. It will sure make buying parts allot easier!

I finally found a little drive to work on Lemon Drog and just figured out why it has stalled so long. I spend 20 minutes trying to get the lower rad hose on the water pump with no luck. So I pulled the AC compresser and got it to slip right on. Now because of the March Performance pulley system I could not just put an off the shelf lower rad hose on it. Big AL 71 helped me with a part # for the lower rad hose, which needed to be cut to fit. (He has the same pulley system). So I spent another 30 minutes trying to figure out were to cut hose to fit around the AC compresser without rubbing the frame. Well I really F#$@ that up and now the hose is useless.

So I moved onto the next project of installing the power steering hoses. Which should have been a easy 15 minute job. <<<<<<<<WRONG>>>>>>>>>. I got the hoses on with no problems, but decided I needed to adjust the high preasure hose on the pump to clean up the look a little. Well will trying to loosen the hose fitting, the pump fitting that the hose fitting attaches to came lose. Easy fit I thougt. <<<<<<<<<<<WRONG>>>>>>>> I could not get a wrench around the fitting because the low presure hose clamp and the lower power steering braket were in the way. So I removed the clamp and bracket but was still not able to get the wrech on the fitting. So now I have to remove the whole pump to tighten the fitting.

I spend about two hours and accomplished nothing.

So back to my orignal conclusion regarding the stall on Lemon Drop. Well I just a little frustrated that I have to take things part (usually more that once) to move forward.

But I guess that is what you get when you try to personalize or customize something. So Lemon Drop will sit some more, until I can modivate my self again. I have too many other things to do around my house anyway.

All right now that I have vented. Big Al 71 is going to take some more pictures of his set up and I ordered another rad hose. So it has now turned into a $60 lower radiator hose. I think I will play around with the 1st hose to figure out where to cut to new one. CROSS YOUR FINGERS.

No luck on the lower Rad hose, I think I will have to buy one of those metal flexible ones. I just recently ordered and received my electric fans and fan shroud from GMCPauls Truck Parts www.gmcpauls.com.

Everything came to a screetching halt do to work and home responsibilities. I have some free time now and will start things up again. I really hope to have Lemon Drop running this summer. I'm decided to seek the help of a professional to complete the Painless wire harness install. I found it to be mentally painfull and don't want it to go up in smoke when the key is turned.

I'm slowly piecing together the bits needed to bag all four corners. I only need the brains and tanks. I had to switch to bags, so I could get the truck out of my steep driveway.

I'm planning on switching out the TH350 trans for a 700R4. LFD will be helping me with aligning the front sheet metal, wet sanding and polishing. Once the above listed items are completed I think it will be a down hill run until it meets the road.

Today I picked up my first welder Lincoln 175 for a great price. I could not turn it down I paid $450.

Thanks for checking it. I will keep everyone posted on the progress. I don't think anyone wants to see Lemon Drop complete as much as I do. It has been 10 years since I started this project.

I made some progress today, well kind of. I installed three out of four air bags. I have yet to install the right front bag. But I took some pictures to share. I have not yet figured out were to put the compressors or tanks.

I really happy with the out come. I really did not think the bags would make that much difference from the 4/6 drop springs that were on the truck, but it looks like it dropped an additional three inches.

I got back to work on Lemon Drop today. I installed the fittings on the rear bags and ran a short air line to schrader valves I put on the side of the frame. The schrader valves are attached to some push on fittings.

One of the fittings is leaking where the hose line attached, so I changed the fitting and still leaked in the same place. I removed the line and cut a bit of the end of, just in case it was the problem, but nothing changed.

Am I missing something or not seating the air line completedly?

Here it is. Lemon Drop on bags. I think it turned out nice. I'm still only using schrader valves until I decide what size tanks to run and where to put them and the compressors.
