Re: Favorite tool you own?
My favorite would have to be my 3/8" palm ratchet. I can't count how many times it has saved me from thousands of 1/8 turns with an open end wrench. Second would have to be my 2100 psi pressure washer. I got that for free after I helped a guy work on his tractor. He said it stopped working and he just went and bought another one. I had it for an hour before I figured out that the wand was packed with sand (don't know how, I just know I use it every week on the car after I forget to move it before I cut thew grass).

Re: Favorite tool you own?
The one tool I use all the time seems to be single edge razor blades. Just used one a few minutes ago to scrape some 'trash' from a painted panel. But my favorite tool in the shop has to be my "ideal slider coke machine," filled with a variety of soft and adult beverages!

As silly as it sounds, my 3' pry bar...
Works great to scoot heavy parts over enough to bolt up.

Re: Favorite tool you own?
I cant believe no one said leatherman yet. I keep one in my pocket, saved my ass plenty of times. Especially being a commercial dump truck driver, things shake loose, sometimes you need a knife or screwdriver.

Re: Favorite tool you own?
Snap-On duck bill pliers, most versatile pliers out there (Craftsman are an acceptable substitute)
Then i would say Gear Wrenches -- love 'em for most things that need a wrench

Someone already said their cardboard creeper. I own several styles. I like my Harbor Frieght A/C vacumn pump and gauge set I scored for like $130.00.

Just picked up a craftsman 1/2" cordless impact. Right now, that's my favorite.

Re: Favorite tool you own?
A 60's vintage Rockwell drill press rescued from a local trade school.
Don't use it very much but I was really stoked to save an old American made machine from the scrapyard and bring it back to life. |
