Do Not get rid of the project. You will never convince the wife to do this again after your married. Just Store it.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Guys, my wife (to be) has nothing to do with it. It's about getting into house #2 and paying for the wedding, and still have cash on the side.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Don't worry about the build. It will be there when time and funds allow. Mine has set since December due to no time & lack of funds. I am hoping I can get back on it in April. If not, I'll blow even more dust off it when the time comes. Good luck with everything else you got going on. It can be crazy with all that at once.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Spray-Bomb - Wheels are off a Caprice with the Police package. Got them cheap off of Craigslist to roll the frame, if it ever does again.

Thank you all for your support.

Steven - even though I appreciated you reply, you're still not getting these wheels.

Re: Project: 19fn68

My truck has sat for the whole 4 years i've owned it. I've literally driven it once. Shortly after purchasing it, the navy transfered me to MN, so i was forced to leave it in CA in my grandparents backyard (gotta love them). I finally towed it to MN last summer, where it has continued to sit in my driveway, although progress is slowly being made now....

That's the way these projects go, don't give up, there's always a solution. you never know, somebody here may even offer to store it for you for a while...

Re: Project: 19fn68

Ok guys, thank you all for your inspiring words. This build just got a little more interesting. Today I picked up a '68 SWB with an inline six.

These pictures are from today's purchase.

Those wheels are the cop car ralleys, from the 9c1. I have a full set, how much were they if you don't mind?

Re: Project: 19fn68

I registered the truck today and put it in my name.

Good news: Black and Gold plates stay on the truck
Bad news: $524 to DMV in back fees from previous owner

Re: Project: 19fn68

WAY too many things going on right now. We just had a baby arrive last week, see below. Everyone say hi to Billie Jean.

Sold my rear slider to a board member and am working on getting my buckets on a pair of tracks. Undecided about a motor, but am keeping my eyes peeled for a 700R4 at the right price.

I'll keep you posted..
