Thanks for pointing this out, my bad, the correct number is 6059. As far as I know these wheels are discontinued though, at least in 8x6.5" and 17x9".
Mine have a back spacing of 4.62"/offset of -8mm.

IŽll probably change them out sometime this year though for something more sleeper looking!

Very impressive wip and a great truck. Then I saw the Dana 60 and got very depressed, I can only dream of having such a brute. From the new transmission to the new gauges to the rims, I think this is the way most people would build a 4x4. I know I would. Keep up the great work and enjoy this beauty. Your avatar caught my attention btw and I thought that is one cool rig.

Here is the tank installed. However I might have to move it back a little because of clearance issues with the Mag Hytech diff cover and the tank at full bump.

Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread

Ok guys, time for some poll action. I rendered some different light setups for my truck and would like to know what you guys think looks best.

I posted this question in another thread, but not to many people replied, so I hope it works better here...

current LED setup:

Reason for the change is, the LEDs are great flood lights but donŽt give me enough distance, so I need some kind of HID to fill in the distance.

#1 (current LED setup plus 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam)

#2 (current LED setup plus 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon Euro Beam)

#3 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon Euro beam)

#4 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon driving beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam)

#5 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam)

#6 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon pencil beam)

#7 (2x HIDDEN BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam)

#8 (2x HIDDEN BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon pencil beam)

#9 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon driving beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam)

Cornering light is a light that has a similar beam to a fog light, only shines a bit further. A euro or driving beam pattern is with quite a bit of distance but still has decent throw to the sides, normally the style most people use and a pencil beam light is a very very narrow concentrated beam of light, that shines very far down the road/trail, but with no side coverage at all (only useful with additional other lights)
Hope this helps a little.

HAHA, with that many HIDŽs you donŽt need the LED anymore. LEDŽs only make sense, if you use a pencil beam hid with it, to give it some distance. I donŽt want to do tooo many lights either to make it look like a trophy truck. IŽm kind of trying to make it look vintage or half way period correct, even thought it is LED and HID.

I am green w/ envy, what a sharp truck. I am of no help w/ the light question as IMHO, they are all a winning set up.

I think that is one good looking rig and I like #2. Good lighting but you still see the excellent Chevy front in all it's glory. But being on a dark lonely road you would probly be thinking, "I should'a went with #9"

Thanks. #9 would only give me more distance over #2. All these setups are bright as heck!

Thank you. The blue is GM arrival blue metallic, I believe an Ž03 color. The wiring harness is a custom stand alone harness from current performance. They also did the programming of the ECU. The rest of the truck is completely rewired with a pinless performance harness though. No old wiring in it at all. The headlights are using a custom harnes that I made up and the load leveling stuff for the headlights uses the Hella harness.

Thanks! Well, what I like about the larger lights is that they have a structured lense for the driving beam and the clear parabolic reflector combo for the pencil beam, so that looks more old school than the new clear glass fre form reflector ones....
