Its Not going to be a show truck, just a daily driver. I like to do certain things that keep me motivated on a project!!! I also did not want to take it back off after installing the new body mounts..

Great scores! Your Blazer is really coming along. My left front spring hangar also has that brace across the front of it. I have been wondering why only driver's side. Congrats from Western New York.

Re: now i am moving forward!!!

Its really late for me right now, but am I right in thinking that strap is on the driver side front of the spring set? I believe it had something to do with the load the steering box put on things? (wow I must be really tired, this makes perfect sense in my head, but not so much even with 3 proof reads)

And the tow hooks, are they both the same bends? Shouldnt there be a right and a left? My dad special ordered those hooks for my 71, but the dealer guy said they wouldnt fit. Dad got them anyways in a box included with the truck upon delivery-they were both the same side. He did some heating/tweaking and made a Right and Left. Those look like what I've got, which I'm told are the "extreme" hooks, and worth a pretty penny or few. I was told by a few people to weld the threads of the bolts so nobody could steal them off the truck-Dad says they've been on there since 1971, and the bolts/nuts should be well fused (rusted) together by now. If they want the hooks that bad, they'll probably end up taking the whole truck.
