Re: Here's those pics of the under dash pedal assembly

I have a question....
in the first picture, I noticed the 2 assemblies on the right seem to have an extra little bend....what gives?

Not sure, I'll have to ask Justin that one. I know there were a few for a couple different applications being built, and I just snapped a few photos of the ones on the table, but I can't be sure.

Justin, let me know if you want me to start a group buy thread.

Re: Here's those pics of the under dash pedal assembly

Is this assembly also available with an 11" booster? and if so how much for the whole kit with master cylinder, 11" booster, and pedal?

What you are seeing is not an extra bend, it is the angle you are looking at it. What appears to be an extra bend is the way the pedal arm comes back. It's not bent there at all.

I just installed a similar system and there is no way that an 11" would fit behind the dash that i was using.

Ain't happ'nin... there is simply not enough room for an 11" booster back there.

there is no room for a 11 inch booster at all it will hit
the back side of the dash.

Unless you want to remove your dash all together
then it will fit.Just joking there.

The 7 inch booster will stop your truck with no problem
at all.

Thankyou,
Justin

The thing is I have 14" 6 Piston Baers up front and 12" 2 Pistons Baers in the rear and I want a booster large enough to handle them pretty well...

That fact won't make the 11" booster fit under the dash.

sounds like a custom dash is in your future.......
my thought is the big brakes would require less force on the WHOA pedal than a stock brake set-up to stop the same mass.....so the smaller booster should do just fine.....
may be off on this, but that is how it would seem to me

That wasn't my point, my point there was that I didn't only want a 7" cuz I have these brakes...

Re: Here's those pics of the under dash pedal assembly

Ok then... maybe this is where I ask some more questions, I'm almost to the point where I'll be getting this stuff. Would this 7" really do? I don't mind trying new things to make the 11" work if it is possible...

In our shop we have several builds going on now.Every car or truck in our
shop have 13 and 14 inch rotors and wilwood 6 piston calipers on the front.
On the rear we have 4 piston calipers. We have been running the 7 inch
booster on our builds for over 10 years. We have never had a problem
with the brakes not working good.Hopefully this helps you out.

You would have to cut into the firewall and the dash.
It would be possible but by doing all of this you would be defeating the purpose of hiding it and it isn't nessasary.

Im sure the 7" would be fine but you could mount the peddle and try and put the 11" it its works then cool if not then put the 7" in it and run with it.

Guys, read Justin post. He tells you that the 7" is all that's needed.

Re: Here's those pics of the under dash pedal assembly

Both my Comanche, and Willy's wagon on 37's have a 7" booster with Wilwood 6 piston 13" fronts and 11" 4 Piston rears. I have absolutely ZERO issues stopping with either one of the them.

If you do want an 11" booster though, this pedal assembly would probably require too much work.

Yup, it's got to go. I've been using the original Kugel unit for several years, and there is no spare room under this part of the dash. I originally did a bunch of work fabbing linkage to let me swap the motor to the right side and let the left side be the idler side, but that was a mess. I am currently using a pair of small, independent "hot rod" style motors to run each wiper. They're wired in parallel so they flip-flop together, but because it's 2 motors, there's enough variance that they get slightly out of sync. It doesn't affect their functionality, though I've probably only used them twice, and I Rain-X my windshield. At some point, I'll probably just shave them altogether as several others on the board have done.

Re: Here's those pics of the under dash pedal assembly

XXL I was planning on using this kit so I could shave the cowl and still have wipers. A few friends have used this kit in their rods and really like how well they work and the motor can be mounted any were you want it. This pic does not show it but the cable you see runs through a brake line type tube so their are no moving parts for you wiring or anything to rub on. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=HFM-WIPER
