Re: Project "Haulin' "

Ok... here is a little update on Haulin'...

We filled and blocked and filled and blocked on the body all weekend... We thought we had it ready for paint today only to find out that there were still small flawsin the doors and hood... so we aren't able to have enough time to get it finished and the final block completed and painted so it is all on hold for 2 weeks while we celebrate the 4th...

We only have the weekends to work on it and that is also dancing between appointments...

Re: Project "Haulin' "

Work has came to a major slow down... The heat here is kicking our butts.... We are working from like 6 AM to 6 or 7 PM... Monday night we came home and attempted to work in the garage after a 12 hour work day and it was so dang hot ( mixed with we were worn out) that we could only get less than a hour in before we bailed... Tuesday we started our day of work at 5 and didn't get home until 7 we had temps of 102 with heat index of 105... we walked into the garage thinking we would get maybe a couple hours in before calling it a night and that we could get primer on the parts we reworked... We looked at each other and said the hell with this... LOL... back inside we went... Hopefully we can get the little bit of work completed tonight and parts back in primer but the ole meteorologist is predicting 101 today with heat indexes to exceed 107... We will see how today goes...

I am really motivated to get this thing painted so I can get it put back together... I really would like to drive it to some cruise ins...

Dan

Re: Project "Haulin' "

Update... After fighting us all the way we finally got color on the truck today... So the cab, Hood, Doors and Cowl panel have color on it... Tomorrow I will color sand the hood, cowl, and back of the cab and polish it... Hopefully I will also be able to get the doors together... I need to get this closed up so I can get it out of the Garage and get the Work Truck and Mamas car back in... Enjoy the pics... Anyone want to come down and help put doors together??????... I furnish Beer, Pepsi or drink of your choice.. LOL

It's came a long way Dan! Also been a fast turnaround. Seems like only a month ago you drove it home from my driveway on a danger ride. Looking great!

Heck yeah man with the amount of work that needed to be done that was a super fast turn around time, everyone wishes their body work/paint could go that fast.

What's the mechanical condition of the truck?
Are you going to blow it completely apart and refresh it or are you going to inspect and fix what's needed and leave the rest of it alone?
