Just a bit, but it is almost 10 lbs lighter, and has better steering geometry. Also, is starts with 12" brakes, and going to 13" or 14" aftermarket brakes is much easier (read in 'cheaper') on this spindle. The GM clone shares the A-6 & A-3 bearing set with many other cars such as Camaro, F-Bird, Chevelle,..... so the aftermarket has it covered. Dropped spindles are avail, but I'm not sure thats needed. 5" static drop, adjustable from 4" to 6" with coil-overs, and an additional 4" drop aired out with bags for a total of 10" below stock layed out, all with stock spindle geometry and good ground clearance.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

10lbs on the spindle a lone is a pretty good saving so to reduce more weight are you going to offer chrome molly control arms or does that fall into cost does not warrant the weight saving.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

probably not. Cost-vs-gains may not be worth it for the marketplace. For the street, I doubt there would be any noticable improvements, remember, only 1/2 of the arm is unsprung weight, 1/2 must be counted as sprung weight, as it is mounted to the frame. The same is true with the shock and spring, the weight is split 1/2 and 1/2. It's out on the end, the spindle, rotor, caliper, and wheel and tire, thats where the gains can be noticed.

No plans for that, the JT crossmember is welded in, and I don't really feel like cutting it out. We do have a few more projects in the works for this one.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

Yes tony, our goal is to offer choices for both front and rear suspensions, with a goal of fixing or improving handling and steering woes. Kits will breakdown as follows:

Stock style front.
Rack and Pinion steering system - no bump steer, quick ratio
Upper and Lower A-Arm set - Reposition wheel, improve caster/camber
New variable rate springs, 2" drop
Front sway bar kit
Raised upper shock mount kit
These parts can be used a-la-cart to upgrade any truck, and will work with any spindle/brake

Wide-Ride IFS
A complete bolt in IFS system, Coil-over, Shockwave, or bag&shock. Uses No Limit Impala clone spindles & brakes, 12", easily upgraded to Wilwood or Bear. P/S rack and swaybar included. 5" drop at ride hieght.

Trailing arm parts
2" block kits
Pro Panhard rod system
Re-located shock mount kit
High mount rear sway bar
3" drop variable rate springs
These parts can be used to upgrade any OE trailing arm rear suspension

C-10 FatBar
Curently a weld-on, but soon to be a bolt-on with OE hole locations. Available with coil-over, Shockwave, or bag & shock. Should be used with a bolt in C notch. Adjustable for 4" to 6" drop.

Long-to-Short rail kit.
Been on this for a while, about to go to production. This is a complete rear rail and crossmember kit. The rail is kicked up 4" above stock. Raising the bed floor is required. Can be used to shorten a longbed, or raise the rails on a shortbed. Complete bolt together install. This rear rail assembly will work with factory type trailing arms, or No Limit FatBar suspension. More on this in an upcoming StreetTrucks issue.

Mr. Rob
Thank you for the reply, I am still a few months out from buying a kit. I am just doing some home work early. I can wait to see what you and the guys at the shop come up with.

Question Re: No Limit Spy Photos

i´m a little confused!
I tried to find a bolt in IFS for my 81 Chevy longbed that gives more ground clearance and corrects the geometry and improves the handling and steering and moves the front wheels a bit forward for the looks!
Currently i drive a set off 2.5" Spindles with 2" lowered coilsprings and a 6" flipkit without a c notch All from Bell Tech with their nitro drop shocks!
The problem is that the LCA´s hit speedbumps very often and it hurts ears and soul and the suspension suffers bad from that!
Does the no limit Kit raise the crossmember only or are the mountingpoints for the lca´s higher too?
Would the brakes fit with my 15" Wheels?
What would a kit cost and the shipping to Germany and what parts do i need additionally?
Any info would be greatly apreciated!

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

The bolt in Wide-Ride is a whole new suspension system. Yes, the crossmember and A-arms are raised for clearance as well as a lowered stance. If you have 15" wheels that fit with the OE truck 12" brakes, then they will fit with the No Limit/Impalla 12" brakes. As long as they are 5 lug (we do not currently have a 6 lug rotor for these IFS systems). Wide rides are complete from hub to hub. To complete the instalation you will need * Power steering hoses (we have a kit for $145) * Lower steering U-Joint ( 3/4-36 spline $82) * We recomend a new upper steering U-joint and new shaft (appx $100) * Paint, brake fluid and grease * You may need to re-plumb the front brake lines, new flex lines to the calipers are included. Motor mounts are included. The complete IFS list $ 2950, I would need a delivery address and I can get a shipping quote.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

Thanks for the fast answer!
I read the "make it handle" thread and many of the terms are difficult to understand for a none pro like me!
My truck doesn´t ride to bad but the outside of the fronttires are bald after 9500 miles and the steering is very sloppy!
So your complete setup is the best thing to get in the truck for driving pleasure, right?
That sounds great and seems to be everything i need to get my Baby over the speedbumps without scraping and through the corners precisely!

I have 5 on 5" lugs.
The price sounds good to me also even though i have to save a few months for that!
My adress is for shipping is:
Kurze Minte 4
27321 Thedinghausen
Germany

Do you make the customs declaration and know about the quotes for that, or do i have to make hat here?

I might have missied it somewhere, but this is a bolt-in right?

Hey Rob,
How about the same bolt-in setup for 67-72 F100's?

Thanx

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

It's been a while, but we haven't been sleeping. Here's some updates on our new C-10 Wide-Ride IFS. 1) With a stock chassis on stands, we measured the crossmember to the ground, = 12 1/4". 2) Then we swapped in the Wide-Ride crossmember and measured 15 1/4". Thats 3" of additional ground clearance. 3) An overall shot of the crossmember installed with the motor mount braces. The motor mounts also act as bracing for the rails and upper A-arm mounts. Motor mounts will accept SBC, BBC, and LS motors using #31-2267 side mounts, and adapter plates for LS. The crank centerline is up .300" from stock. 4) the upper A-arm is carried in an aluminum cam inside the 'cam slide' tube at the top of the crossmember. This makes for easy alignment. 5) Standard coil-over mounts will accept a 5" stroke shock, or Shockwave. Bag and shock IFS crossmembers will also be available. With our ZG stock height spindle, the Wide-Ride will deliver a 5" drop. 2" drop spindles are available. Our ZG spindle uses 12" GM brakes, with standard floating GM calipers. 5x5 and 5x4 3/4 patterns available, as well as 5x5 1/2 and 5x4 1/2 (for those swapping in 9" ford gear) Sorry, no 6 lug. More picts soon.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

OK boys and girls, here is an install set for you. 1) The WideRide IFS will be sold as a compltete kit. You have some choices. Coil-over/shockwave/bag&shock, and wheel bolt pattern (sorry no 6 lugs yet). 2) this includes P/S, swaybar, brakes, and motor mounts. 3) The crossmember and motor mounts bolt in and locate to factory holes. 4) Two of the five sidemount holes must be drilled, you will need a 1/2" drill bit. 5) The motor mounts bolt in and act as a frame rail gusset.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

First off, NO, they do not ship in red. They will be raw. You may paint or powder coat them any color you want. 1) With the crossmember and mounts bolted in you can see the strength from the motor mount assembly. 2) Next is the lower arms. These do come powder coated in black. 3) Note the the front bushing is 'inside' the crossmember, supported on both sides to reduce bushing flex. 4) the upper A-arm mounts into an aluminum 'alignment cam'. 5) The cam is locked in with set-screws. Rotating the cam sets camber, and sliding the cam forwards/back sets the caster.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

1) We use a Romic billit coil-over. They have worked with us for years to get the valving set correctly for the weight balance of a truck, not the average camaro. The lower mount is a 'trunion'. - These coilovers are display units, built to be at 'Ride Hieght'. The IFS will come with 5" stroke shocks, 12" - 17" and 12" springs. 2) The upper coil-over mount is part of the crossmember. 3)This is how get the track width without the bumpsteer. 4) The custom machined rack extension installs on the PASSENGER side only. Use red locktite. The factory rack boot will cover it just fine. 5) Bolt in the rack and tie-rod ends.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

1) Notice that the rack input passes under the motor mount. There is plenty of room for the steering U-joint (Included) With the tie rod ends mounting 'under' the steering arm, the rack is positioned 'low' on the crossmember. There is no need to Notch the frame for clearance. 2) Brakes and sway bar are a standard install. The swaybar uses one factory hole from the OE mount (removed), and one must be drilled (3/8" drill bit). 3) rotors have dual pattern and 1/2" studs. "small" pattern has 5 x 4 1/2" and 5 x 4 3/4", and "large" has 5 x 5" and 5 x 5 1/2". Dust caps are included.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

I know you want to know the ride hieght. So, I rounded up some old rollers. Gotta love slots. 2) With the rollers on the front, and the frame set with a slight rake of 2 deg. the front rail is at 5". This is the same hieght as the JT. 3) an overview shows our high-tech rail stands. - Notice something missing?
