Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

Did a little clean up on some of the suspension parts that came back from blasting

Also starting to smooth out the frame, and grind off all the pop rivets

And finally...spent most of the day working on the trailing arms since they need to go out to powder coating with the rest of the suspension parts

Grinding all the factory weld spatter off, lining up the edges, and welding all the seams

Started plotting out my templates for the metal plates to box in the arms

Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

And the first piece cut, drilled, and dimpled for the arms

Tomorrow I'm hoping to have the rest of the boxed plates done, and start TIG welding them into the arms.

Some parts that came back from powder coating

Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

Thanks guys!

Hoping to have all the arms done today. Will be alot of welding, and i should have a pretty sore arm by the end of the day from dimpling all those holes.

Looking Good
Just a side note on those shorty headers,i have those on mine and with the
stock crossmember the drivers side exh pipe will have to make a sharp
90 degree.you might be able to notch the crossmember alittle to reduce the
bend..just my past experience..

Looking good!
I have the same valve covers on my Pontiac 462. The breather holes look as jagged as mine were. Sharp enough to cut a finger and a grommet. Best to smooth them out before mounting.
And the trailing arms, nice touch. Bet you had to baby those things. I mean, why else have a box of huggies around the shop....LOL!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up Scott. Now I can check fitment issues once I get the motor back from the rebuilder, and make any modifications I need to before having the frame painted.

I'll have to look into de-burring those edges once I find the box those valve covers are in. My office looks like a garage sale gone wrong. Theres boxes, bags, parts, crap all over the place. On the floor, sitting on furniture, leaning against the wall, ect.

Thanks for all the compliments fellas!

Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

Hey fella's.

I'll be updating pictures tomorrow.

Cab went to madia blasting, front suspension is off to powder coating, chrome parts came back, few more items showed up from the UPS truck, and I'm finally starting to work on the chassis.

Lots of stuff to update. Chrome is back. Powder coated parts are back. Finally got both of the trailing arms done and coated. The stock chevy silverado seats have been cut, tweaked, filled, shaped, wrapped, stiched, and "pimped". Frame has been getting alot of attention. The bed floor material showed up.

I'll post up a few teaser pics until I can post up the regular pictures with details on whats been happening.
