Re: Blazer tanks

If he pulled it, get him to measure it real fast. Might save you a trip. If it is a 40, convince him he has something very very very special so he'll never sell it. I was actually hoping mine was a 40, so I could keep it for the special "can I get 3 tanks to work" mod.

Ok, measured mine finally, it's a 31 gallon with a skid shield. I'm also guessing the 89 year will have the fuel pump in the tank like the trucks? That would make it easier for a LS type engine swap?
As long as it is from a TBI 5.7 application the tank will have the EFI sump from 87-91. The diesel Blazer tank I have from the same vintage does not have the in-tank pump.

Re: Blazer tanks

Randy, too late. Went and got it. Looked like a 31 from my visual measurement. Just measured it in my driveway....it's a 40.
Need my super limited tank? Gotta see if he's got another that he'll swap me out I'd no one here needs a 40.

Re: Blazer tanks

Joe, I guess so. It looked like a square to me on the ground at his place. It is a TBI tank, from a 91 Burb.

Re: Blazer tanks

Don't tempt me. I just love the thought of being able to hold that much fuel. Have to find me a 3 way switch instead of just the LEFT RIGHT switch. I gotta put on my thinking cap now.

Re: Blazer tanks

Want a picture Randy??? Real cheap, I can even beat Petco's weekend sale of $1 per gallon.

Re: Blazer tanks

Guys, that is a lot of good info there. I the tank that we found has not come through yet. I am still hopeful though. What are the dimensions on said 40 gallon tanks?

Re: Blazer tanks

I verify the 40g measurements. I also know it fits in the trunk of an '06 Chrysler 300.

Re: Blazer tanks

Well, it looks like I finally found a tank. (Well my buddy Adam found me one.) I should know more this weekend. I am gonna try to sneak away from the inlaws to go pull it from his "new" parts burb.
