I think widening the rear fenders makes the truck look more aggressive - which is the look I'm going after. I will probably widen the rear fenders of my '57 by a couple of inches on the mounting edge so I can run some 305/45-20 tires in the rear, inside of the fenders, without tubbing.

Re: i want to widen rear fenders

Superior glass has fenders that 2.5" wider.

Here's their 6" wide ones.

Thanks - I didn't see anything for my '57 though (only '55 1st series).

I have the original rear fenders (that were a little beat up) and an aftermarket pair that I'm going to use to get the widened look I'm going after.

Once I get the cab and front end squared away, I'll start to mess with the bed and rear fenders. I also have a rear mount gas tank, so I need to figure where to put the gas filler and cap (I don't like it coming up through the bed).
