This is a great build. Looking good! Any details on the goodies on that engine? Any modifications to the tranny?

Re: 59 fleetside longbed build

The steering linkage is finished and the column is in.
The brackets for the core support and sway bar had to be redone and are finished.
The shifter and e brake with cables are also mounted.

Re: 59 fleetside longbed build

I haven't updated in a while but here is the progress:
- We cleaned up the firewall by welding a piece of steel to it and the lower firewall area where the column is.
-Pic of the firewall with the engine in.
- We also test fit the headers. They are ls10 headers we got from Randy at Sanderson. They are going to be ceramic coated in black.

Hopefully. We're having one built by Mattson radiators and it should fit.

Re: 59 fleetside longbed build

Looks like it fits in the pic.
My brother has had two radiators built by Mattson.
They are a pretty decent product.
We all went to high school together so I'll probably be using him also.

Yeah the radiator fits and looks great with the brushed look. Mattson was super helpful through the whole process of fitting the radiator in limited space.
