Re: Help wife is PO'd at me!!!!
Sweet looking ride you got there Randy!. What I always do with circuit panels is lay it on my bench, grab my handy multimeter, set it for a continuity test and go around touching each end of the copper lines and listen for the beep, beep, beep!. Works like a charm!!!. Once I confirm NO breaks, I sand each end plus the the tabs on all the bulb holders. 30 minutes or so to do this and gives me piece of mind for many years!. Good luck!

Re: Help wife is PO'd at me!!!!
Have you tried swapping in a different cluster to help narrow down where the problem is?
I bet it has something to do with those front tow hooks. Better take them off and send them to me for testing.

Hey Randy,
I had to solder a piece of wire onto mine as stocker described, I could bring my meter up and help you find the trouble next time you have it apart. I bet we can fix it! Jeff

Re: Help wife is PO'd at me!!!!
Randy, I have a 72 SWB that had similar probs, I chased it for a while and came to the conclusion it was a symptom of 30+ year wiring harness! Everything vibrates with AC and over time that 60hz just makes for loose and corroded copper connections. Additionally your truck has to have good grounds and over time, like everything else on our trucks, gets corosion. I decided that instead of fighting bad grounds and loose connectors to bite the bullet and buy a Painless wiring kit from Summit. Awesome results, bright lights, complete confidence and for $310.00 plus shipping came peace of mind. Take a few days to do it right and follow directions and you will be a happy camper (and the wife). My two cents
