Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

That is truly one of my favorite Blazers of all time - everything is perfectly done IMO. No overkill - just done right. I think someone would be getting one heck of a bargain for $12k. I'm in agreement with Bouncytruck - $15k to $20k - but it will take the right buyer of course.

I sure wish I could be that right buyer cause the right buyer is going to be smiling big time with that purchase.

Way2lo2 - there is no better time than now to get talking with vtblazer about this Blazer - no need to wait for it to hit e-bay!

Thumbs up Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

Ok let's all be serious for a moment ....

To build this truck would be $20.000 easy and that is not a high water mark. Most guys could not do this so it would be $35.000 at the very least to anyone that is in this position. Sounds to me that your not in a panic so set the reserve at $20.000 that is more then fair. It's not like you can go out and buy a new one. If it is as nice as it looks in the pictures that you posted don't give your truck away! This is not a $10.000 to $12.000 dollar truck. Look around and see what you get for $10.000 dollars, and you won't see your truck!!!!

A tip and don't take this wrong but go through the truck and detail everthing you can before you post pic's on e/bay. This is often over looked by sellers and it can cost you a couple thousand in the end. It will also give you an appreciation for the truck and this will help set the right value in your mind for your truck.

Lots of good luck with the sale ....

esll.

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

Just my opinion, but I cannot believe that it hasn't sold to a board member already. When I think about what I paid for mine to start with, plus all the parts I've bought, all the money I've spent on materials, not to mention the time. Granted, I enjoy doing the work and it's a hobby, to a certain extent. BUT, knowing what I know now, if I were looking for a Blazer, I'd buy that ALL DAY LONG for $12K. I wouldn't have any problem flying out there and driving it back to Texas. I would have thought one of the East coast guys would be all over this. When I get mine done, I think it will be a very nice original restoration and hopefully will look as good as yours, BUT, I can tell you I will have closer to $20K in it. Nowhere close to $12K. That's a bargain.

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

i'm new to the blazer game.
just bought my 71.

paid $11K! ...obviously a good deal.
she's a complete restore.

not sure if that helps but it might put into perspective the current market.
seems there is a scarcity of buyers at present.
most buyers are opportunistic.

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

Ebay is one of those places you have to have the right 2 guys looking for your truck the same week. I have seen real nice Blazers not bring any money or get any bids and the very next week, the prices are way up there. Also take the advice that EVERYTHING needs to be working or removed if not, fix the A/C. No one want to pay big $$$$ for something they have work on when they get it home.

Honestly I hope you get alot for it because I am going to want over $20K for mine when it is done come next spring. Should be a $15K-$18K easy.

Mike

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

When I sold my 59 Apache I detailed it, took it out to the beach, and took over 100 pictures, included up close pics of every single little problem with it. I set up a nice webpage, and linked it to the ebay page. Listed it 3 times, on the third time a big money CEO over 1200 miles away bought her without even seeing her. I got my close to my asking price too. Once the truck arrived (he had it shipped out) he called me and told me that he didn't worry about the deal specifically because of the webpage I had set up.

Might work for you too. Good luck!

Good advise, I've already done most of that. (except the web page)

I hired a local guy to build me an auction worthy of the blazer, it's what he does so it's going to be way better than anything I might of laid out.

He was over the other day taking tons of pics of the entire truck, both of the good and the not so good areas.

I expect he'll be calling me over the weekend to proof his work prior to posting.

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

If you want to check the page I made here is the LINK.

The page is old and pretty basic but is served the purpose. Maybe it can help you since it worked to sell my truck.

I can see why it made a difference, good pics with a good description is always the way to go.

Course having a truck that nice helps and yours was all that...

Kurt you should have no problem selling yours with an ad like his. I see them on
Evil Bay all the time not nearly as nice, your location is the only setback (JMHO)

Thanks for the compliment. Your truck is one of the best blazers on this board, so you could do the same. If I can help out with something let me know. As far as your location, it may not make as much of a difference if you sell online. With a good set up people from farther away feel less risk in buying without seeing it in person first. The guy who bought mine was in Missouri (if I remember right). He had the truck shipped out.

That thing is mint! And I don't mean the color. Very nice. It would be a crime to let it go for 12g's.

Re: What's My Blazer Worth?

Snuck in one more stock/original part.

Been working on it all week, fixed the gas gauge, hooked up the tach (yes it works) and installed this factory original radio/speaker set up.

So now the only thing that does not work is the A/C and it's complete but nevered been charged.

Here's to hoping the blazer sets a new bench mark price for others to follow.

That dash is awesome, matches the rest of the truck
Truly a fine example, benchmark....sorry to see it go. J.
