Re: Project. Long Overdue

Alright guy's progress has been slow, work has been crazy busy and I'm dead tired when I get home and all I want to do is sit my butt! I did get the exhaust off, door glass out, most of the interior out. One thing that takes me so long is bagging all the screws and misc. stuff and marking the bags. I am going to try and have the rest of the tear down done this weekend so I start sanding.

Thanks! I got some things done today, pulled the doors, started on pulling the wood in the bed, tailgate, But I mostly spent more time listening to the Talladega race as I was laying under the truck. Oh well some progress is better than none.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

I'm finally getting some things done. Finished disassembly. Pulled front susp. apart, started cleaning the frame, stripping firewall. I will pick up the front end parts this week and am going to try and have the frame/parts all painted and back together this week.

Got the box off yesterday, more work on firewall, it seems like I spent most of the day sanding on door jamb.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Got the firewall primed tonight and got some of the front suspension parts painted. I forgot my camera at work so I have no pics. I'm going to try and have everything painted this week so I can assemble the front end this weekend.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Looks awesome!! Very very nice to start out with......gives me tons of motivation for my '67 stepside. Mine also has a 4/6 and TTII's so this is very encouraging! Haha you're tearing down everything that I've been trying to build up to this whole time

Re: Project. Long Overdue

I spent most of Saturday finishing up cleaning some parts, got the frame painted, all of the suspension stuff painted. Today I got the rear end hung, pulled the axles for the new seals and bearings.Got the control arm bushings and ball joints installed. Hopefully it will be a roller this week. Also I ordered my Hellwig sway bars. Can't wait to roll it outside and clean my garage it is driving me crazy. Anyway hope you all like progress.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Here's a little progress. Most of the front suspension is done, I got the wrong bolts/nuts with my new sway bar so I didn't get it installed tonight. Rearend is in, still need to install the axles and brakes/lines. Maybe it will roll this weekend.

The last pic is what it looked like today when I got home, and it is friggin' cold out. It's putting a damper on my time in the garage even with the heater on. Hopefully spring is right around the corner.
