Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2

Oh and just an FYI. I moved my gas tank to bed and got it from CPP. The tank has NO baffles in it (i wont NOT recommened this tank)!!!!!! In order for me to be able to floor it (have some fun) the fuel level needs to be above 3/4 tank!!!! other wise it starves the fuel system!!! I need a new tank built for my kind of HP that wont throw the gas all over the tank!

Just know i am running the 02 factory pulley setup (steering pump) on this motor setup. The hydroboost came out of a 04 3/4 chevy in the bone yard ($25). Yes you do have to do some mods to the mount but its not bad. the biggest issue was having to mate the hydroboots units rod to the factory petal assy. A little cut and welding and it works great (the lenght of both rods need to be cut down, and i just welded them together)!!! All the lines came from GM. I just oreded all the lines of a 02 HD, the cooler and all the lines was about $150(if you look close at the left side pic with the hood open you will see the factory PS cooler mounted behind the intercooler and the radatior (its black)). I did have to cut off the factory fitting that went to the steering gear box and reflare them them US/ 68 flare ends.

They are Foose Nitrous wheels 18X8 up front and 20X10 in the back. It wasnt bad for the custom wheels. $375 each for the front and $425 each for the rears (from what i heared when i had them made in 06 is nobody had a 20x10 yet. They had to make the hoops from them.) The coolest part of any Foose wheel is they will make your bolt patteren. 5x5 wasnt a option when i ordered my wheels but they made them anyways (yes it did take almost 2 months) but WELL worth the wait!!!!!! Foose is me ideal!!!!

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2

Well bad news today. I finally had the money to bring my motor to a new engine dyno/tuner and my motor lost oil pressure at 4000rpm on a pull and never came back. Now its time to see what went wrong!!! How much damage? How much will it cost? Playing with your toy can bring so much pain, anger and money but yet also so much joy. At what point do you draw the line and say im done!?!?!?!

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2

Well it was a cheap fix. the oil pickup tube o-ring had a cut in it. so 1 new o-ring and my oil pressure was back. The motor is back in the truck/ the blower is out getting fixed (new intake tube to fit the 102mm throttle body and a new rear belt) the trans is out getting a shift kit put in it. So it may be a few weeks before its back on the road.

I have a intake tube coming for the supercharger so i can put my 102mm throttle body on. Oh and i did switch blowers too. I sold the old "J-tube" style and picked up the new front inlet style blower (more boost from 8 psi with the "J" blower and 12psi with this new one). So i'm thinking i should be well over 700 hp when i get that new throttle body on it. I just really hope the stock bottom end well hold up.

Thats some power! You'll have to let us know how you get it to hook up. I'm building a roughly 500hp LSx setup and worry about getting it to bite (w/drag radials).... from a dig or a roll.

yeah i think hooking up is out of the question for now. With that stock 6.0 and the blower (425hp) i coudnt get it to hookup in 1st gear so i my have to wait til i get my crew cab set on the frame (more weight over the rear tires) to see how it hooks up.
